(Sorry for the spray tan pic, as it was right before I competed last June)
Little about me-
I was about 250lbs. at my worst. Out of shape, and lazy. I was in my best friends wedding, and once we got pictures back, I knew I had to change. I always worked out, but working out does nothing if you come home to a bag of Doritos and some doughnuts.
2 years later, 171lbs. and competing in a bodybuilding competition, and finishing 21 different 5ks, 2 10ks and participating in a marathon relay.
Although I lost the weight, my diet was the same day in and day out. It got boring fast. I'm here to get some variety in my diet, which will stop the urges to binge.

Welcome Jone! Good work. I am not a body builder...but you can add me if you like I am also new (just returning) to the site0

I'm a new return. I know that if I had to eat just one thing it would be beef. So I tend towards the Paleo, but I haven't gotten into the formula yet. I have a couple friends on mfp that seem to know nutrition pretty good. Feel free to seek their friendship. The binge eating is part of me; emotional stuff, I am working towards mental training with Pilates and Yoga. I believe meditating would also be great, but I've yet to learn it. I am adamant to get my mental strength right. I also brush my teeth a crazy amount and drinking water helps me when I stick some cinnamon sticks in the water; I don't do fruit infusion at this time. PS Congrats on your hard work, it is evident. I do notice a difference in my energy level when I eat junk and that has been a strong deterrent at this time.

Appreciate it (both of you). My energy levels are through the roof! My confidence also sky-rocketed.0

What started you on your journey if you don't mind me asking?. You remind me of my brother in law....tattoo'd body builder with a love of comic books. He like you eats a very tight regimen of chicken, sweet potato, oatmeal, egg whites, and sometimes green beans or broccoli. To really spice things up he puts egg whites and protein in his oatmeal.... He also has MAJOR binge days. I think its all about balance, but I know to maintain close to competition physique most people eat very strictly...and unfortunately bland.0

No worries. I actually never looked at myself as "overweight" until I saw pictures. Then I just came to realize the truth. I started and never looked back. It's been a fun journey overall.
You're brother-in-law sounds like a good man!0
