it cant hurt to have a HRM, they are accurate and help keep you on track for your burn each day and/or week. i like Polar brand
-
tongue is the only one i still have used to have 6 or 7
-
does it really work? sounds interesting,.
-
well i guess you can click "view full report"

i wish MFP would let addition items be tracked under calories. you have five slots and several options. I usually just track sugar in my head because i cant have 6 items tracked on here. or can you?
-
Just pop it in and do your best, give it all you have everyday. As far as nutrition I use the recipes in the guide, but I eat way less calories then it suggests, mostly because i needed to lose about 50, still working on that. I think the suggestions for calories on MFP are pretty good so I follow those instead. Good luck…

recovery week. I'm burning almost the same amount of calories on Core Cardio and Balance as Pylometric Cardio. so that's cool haha
-
cool thanks for the advice, i kind of like the idea of asylum anyways, just seems like more fun
-
@No_Finish_Lin that sounds really cool. I want to get into good shape and eventually get back to the athlete i was in high school I have been eyeballing asylum and p90x for my next couple workouts. which would you recommend first? Sounds like you did p90x first?

so awesome, great job man. so how do you do a hybrid exactly? im interested in that when i finish insanity in 4 or so weeks
-
2-3 weeks
-
good luck with Insanity, its awesome. I'm in week 5, recovery week. Insanity pretty much became my main focus as far as exercising. If you plan on running a few days a week, i think you could do both. mreeves261 is right, there are two days a week when you rest and do moderate workout, so those would be perfect running days

lol i have only been exposed to him 5 or 6 times doing a 10 minute trainer here or there, he is funny and maybe a little pervy but i do see how he could get annoying

@ichoose2belie that's is a great method to. thanks for the advice. this really helps,. I think i have a firm idea of how to approach them with healthy eating,
-
Wow this is such a great idea! thanks so much. I am definitely going to do this. They can help me make it too, what a great idea. You should make this into a product and sell it LOL
-
that's pretty awesome, you have changed your family tree.
-
yeah that's a good point, i just don't want to be one of those parents who feels guilt for not leading by example and teaching my kids about food. counting calories probably goes to far. and i wasn't seriously considering it other then for my own knowledge and showing my kids what is a better health choice, obviously i can…
-
that's awesome, my kids would never choose water. lol collard greens? wow thats really awesome.
-
i didnt say there wasnt room for ice cream, im just wanting them to know the better choice.
-
what is bad idea, are you even reading this topic? Teaching kids about healthy food and calories is bad?
-
well MY 6 year old is not worried about her weight
-
I just think that with the child obesity problem in America kids need way way more education about healthy eating. I was not suggesting limiting or stressing them about calories, but just informing and allowing them to see what was healthy and not. I wont always be there to help they make a healthy choice. I want my kids…
-
well at 6 years old i dont think they are under any pressure besides passing the first grade.
-
yeah i agree i wasn't really considering limiting their calories, i was just interested in sitting with them to show what they ate, and how much calories went into each item and weather its bad or good intake.
-
@Opti_Onai yeah same here. Until i started eating healthy myself, i didn't even consider what they ate. I feel a little guilty for not paying attention better. But that has changed. I cant eat healthy and then allow them to eat unhealthy. i did read kids need a ton of calories a day anyways. 1700 a day for my 6 year old
-
My kids? no they aren't overweight, I was just thinking as a teaching experience. Same as you might teach a 6 year old about spending and saving and giving money they receive as allowance for chores .
