  • I have Hashimoto's and have taken Synthroid for 20 years. I've gained and lost the same 30 lbs over these years too. It is a constant struggle for me. I've counted calories for the most part for several years and get daily exercise (have a sedentary job though). But since Menopause struck I really can't seem to lose…
  • I'm interested in people friending me that have open diaries so I can get ideas of what others eat especially when they meet their daily goals. I do some days others don't! I'm 52..can't seem to lose weight the past few years, desk job but exercise regularly and really try to eat healthy.
  • I love it! I just started watching this weekend binge watching it from the beginning. I'm on show # 6. I rarely find shows that I want to watch and this one is so different from all the others.

  • @Sabine_Stroehm - I had a hysterectomy so I haven't had one in 9 years. I just found out in July that I was post-menopause after testing. I had started with hot flashes & night sweats several months ago. Someone told me yesterday that my doctor should also check for testosterone levels that hers were low and that happens…

  • I'm experiencing the same as you guys...eating better than ever and exercising more but have gained 20 lbs in the last year. I turned 50 on Oct 5th and I am in menopause. I did start taking estradiol about 3 months ago to stop the night sweats because I couldn't sleep. Several people have suggested that maybe it is…

  • What was the medicine? I hope I haven't been put on it! I am really struggling since I have hit menopause. I've gained 20 lbs in the last year no matter how much I exercise and I've been tracking calories...just doesn't seem to work anymore.
  • I am trying reducing carbs as well (no bread, pasta, rice) at the suggestion of a weight loss doctor. The scale is still not budging after 2 weeks. So frustrating! Anyone in our age bracket, please add me as a friend!
  • i will be 50 on October 5th. I also have a desk job and exercise regularly including boot camps. I have gained 10 lbs since January even though I track my calories and eat very healthy. I am very depressed today. I just completed menopause.
  • I'm right there with you! I will be 50 in October and am in menopause and just started taking estradiol. I thought that might help me lose weight but I have gained 7 more pounds instead. I exercise daily in fact at a higher intensity than ever. I have been logging for several months and eat healthy most of the time. I just…
  • I like cookie dough flavor. You should try a couple before buying in bulk I think. They are very high in fiber and I had some digestive issues. I looked it up and most people said that that goes away after you eat them regularly. They are supposed to be a healthy protein bar.
  • Hi - good for you and your family starting to make healthy choices! I have exercised daily for years now some days high intensity and some just a 30 minute walk and now I crave it. It just makes me feel better. I will say that the key to weight maintenance is DIET. No matter how much I exercise, if I don't eat right and in…
  • I bring a whole wheat tortilla wrap most of the time for lunch (I put in grilled shrimp or chicken, avocado, salsa, black olives)
  • You look fantastic and much younger! Great job, keep tracking!
  • that was funny!
  • Well actually diet pills like Phentermine do work to control appetite, however you can't live on diet pills so it's a vicious cycle (I know bc I've done it!) So after a while you start eating like you did before bc you are hungry or stressed or too many get togethers and that appetite comes back. So I think.... eat more…
  • Ha! I looked at your post thinking that you wanted advice because you had rapid butt growth, not because you wanted it! This is hilarious. I agree with the other replies about squats. I've been doing bootcamps and we do a lot of squats and my pants are too small now which is not what I wanted but I do have really good…
  • Some of your replies really make me feel better! I have been really struggling with what the scale is reading (168). I used to be 5'7 now 5'51/2 and I'm 49. I had gotten to 142 at my smallest and people told me I was very thin. I exercise alot. I do boot camps and walk/jog, ride my bike and I am tracking calories but I've…
  • Keep it up ladies!
