  • I started at 300+ lbs, and that is double my "suggested" weight. I started with just walking and going the distance I could stand, even it was a SLOW 1 mile (25 minutes!) Then I built on from there. Weight lifting is great, just don't push yourself too soon to lift/run/exercise like you did when you were much lighter.…
  • You CAN do it. I started at 270lbs, I ran slow (still do!) and just tackled it day by day. I didn't worry about the 30 minute run at the end, I worried about todays 60 second run. I was NEVER a runner, even a mile. I ran 4 miles this morning, just because I can now! DON'T under estimate yourself and DON'T quit. Best advice…

  • Nope. I started c25k at 270 lbs with no previous running history. I ended C25K at 245 lbs., I now run a 5k (slowly 40ish minutes) every other day. Just go slow, no, really slow and pace yourself during the run portions. If you can't talk, you're going to fast. Remember this is a conditioning program, not a race. You have…

  • Fab NSV!!!
  • I live in a REALLY small town. Like crazy small. I'm not close to a gym so I take my workouts (walking and running) to the roads. It is no secret that I'm out there doing it. I have some of the biggest mouths of the south that pass by me while I'm sweating it out. I started weighing over 300lbs., I'm currently at 235. When…
  • Hey girl!!! I started C25K at 270lbs! :embarassed: Each week when the minutes increased, I would FREAK OUT! The double jump in time from 90 seconds to 3 minutes mind as well of been 30 minutes IMO! I am now running 38+ minutes straight, just a few weeks later and still over 200lbs (235lbs!). IT IS POSSIBLE! Please…
  • You can do this! I started at 311 same height. I have lost 75 pounds to date. It is possible. Start with small changes and build on them. No sweetened drinks and walk to the mailbox, twice! I recently wrote a blog post about my weight and how it effected my daily functions. Please add me and feel free to read it. I also…

  • This is exactly how I do when logging the walk/run intervals. No need for complicated equipment.  Have fun!
  • Good luck girl! You can do it! I started C25K at 270lbs. It is possible. Take your time and go slow (even running slow) and you'll do fine. :)
  • Congratulations!!! I too have seen the scale roll under the 300 mark, and it was FANTASTIC! You look great! Your hardwork and dedication shows! Keep up the excellent work! You will roll that scale soon again!
  • I have been off for the summer. In just 4 weeks the next semester starts, Radiology school!!! I also have a very hyper active 7 year old and a two year old. My husband works to support us. It is HARD! :drinker:
  • I see nothing wrong with repeating as needed. Be a day or a week. I repeated week 3 b/c I thought I would never make it for the three minutes without dying! I then revamped the way I was running (SLOWED DOWN, like Raasy said) and found that if I listened to what my body told me during the runs (you're going to fast, I…
  • Your body mass (muscle mass vs. fat mass) is probably high. You may have more muscle than the average person for your height.
