  • I go over my protien too as well as my fiber, but I ALWAYS have carbs left. I think its ok because of how the high protien diets work. The scale hasnt argued with it yet so I'm sticking with it! I really dont think MFP has the protien count that high either. Is the scale still moving for you?
  • Sorry, but I gotta say it! Go Tribe!!! (Yes, I know we dont stand a chance, but I love them anyway!! LOL) And I can't WAIT for opening day!!!
  • Personally I feel that exercise is about elevating your heart rate to burn calories. I liked the comment made about the HRM. I think that is the only way to know if you should be eating back those calories. Me??? I wouldnt.
  • I have to agree with Mel. Its a long debated issue here on MFP about whether or not you should eat them back or not. I do not eat back ALL my exercise calories, but I do eat back some. I'm having some trouble losing so I actually just added back a some more calories hoping that it will help. I just sent you a friend…
  • You're not eating enough if that's how many calories you're burning. Consider upping your calorie count a couple hundred and see if that helps.
  • I'm interested as well. Always looking for more variety!
  • I recommend the Jillian Michaels 14 day detox and cleanse plan. I've used it on a few different occasions when I've felt a little "Off" and it really seems to help. It also really helps increase my energy level. I know I'm not a "Pill" person, but this is easy to take and easy on the system and also helped jumpstart my…
  • I use Sony that go over the ear. Yes, after about 6 months they short out, but I get them at about $12 so I dont mind replacing them. The sound quality is awesome too!!!
  • When I was working I would workout before work and I felt great, but I was always famished by 10 AM!!!
  • I've been stuck for about the last 3 weeks as well. On the advice of several other members here, I have up'ed my calories to try to get closer to my 1200 NET calories. I just started doing that so I'm interested to see the results. I've also heard a little about zig-zag dieting, where you alternate your caloric intake day…
  • I love the Biggest Loser Video series. There's a few different ones out there. You can pick them up at Wal Mart for around $10. (Bob and Jillian ROCK!) I also just started the 30 day shred.
  • I know you've heard a lot of Greek Yogurt, but it is great! Yoplait makes a 4 pk of smaller lower calorie that come in honey vanilla (So yummy) and Strawberry. Ive also found that I LOVE Yoplait Delights... The Chocolate Rasberry is out of this world!! I know people say stay away from pasta, but I disagree. Barilla Protien…
  • Sounds Delightful!!!
  • Sounds Delightful!!!
  • I COMPLETELY understand your frustration. My first 14 lbs came off fairly easily, but I've been plateaud now for about 3 weeks. I have been doing the same things and fighting the good fight just as I was before. I am on an antidepressant and 2 mood stabilizers, but my doctor told me that these drugs in particular do NOT…
  • I'm with her!!!!! I cant get rid of my stomach to save my life so I will gladly trade my D cup for a flat belly!!
  • I grew up in Akron and now I live in Fairlawn!!! Nice to know that I'm not alone around the hood!!! Do you get out to the parks much?
  • I have days like that too. BUT.... You gotta fight through that feeling and just do it!! Have a little snack, go over your calories today if you need to, but WORK OUT! You will feel better after doing it and even better for fighting against that "OLD" you:) Go get 'em girl!!!!
  • When I first started doing this I did not and it worked very well. BUT I hit a plateau that I couldnt move off of for 3 weeks. After all that time and trying a few different things, I decided to add in more calories to try to meet at least 1200 a day. (Just started this in the last few days). So far, the scale is starting…
  • I had the same issue when I went on vacation the beginning of February, but only gave myself one day to relax when I got back. Then I was back on the horse. It is definitely hard to do, but sometimes you just have to put mind over matter and do it. I've struggled for a over a year with this weight, but something is…
  • I have considered it, but didnt do it. Once I found this site, I decided against it thinking that there may be some redundancy.
  • I dont know if this will work for your back, but they're called squiggles. (I learned if from Jillian Michaels) Lie on your back with your palms facing inward. Bend to one side and touch your palm on the heel of your opposite heel (of the side you bent to), then go to the other side. If this doesnt make sense, google…
  • Eating right and exercising are the only way to do it. You're right, calories in/calories out. I've read a lot of Jillian Michaels stuff and I think she has some very valid information as well as Weight Watchers, but the bottom line is track what you eat, eat less than you burn but meet your net calories. Good luck in your…
  • Please feel free to add me as a friend! We all can definitely use as much support as we can get!!! You have a found a great tool that will help keep you on track. As long as you set yourself reasonable goals and follow the program, you're going to do great!!! Good luck to you and your wife on your journey.... Tracey
  • I have one of the Biggest Loser videos and I love it. It also goes in stages. It doesnt seem to be too hard on your knees, but I havent gotten past the first week yet! HAHA.... You can find them at Walmart for $10 each!!
  • This one is going to sound crazy but I've read it in a few places and Jillian Michaels is one of them. Peppermint tea! Ever since I started drinking a cup every evening I've noticed a difference. I'm not an every single day girl, but it has improved me to every other day. Of course, I do all the other things that people…
  • Drinking water is VERY important!! Be sure you're drinking 8 - 10 glasses daily. It really does help cleanse the body, not to mention the skin benefits!!! I've hit a plateau myself, so I cant give you a valid answer on the rest. I've heard that you should at least hit your NET calories for the day, but I struggle to eat…
  • I take a Women's One a Day and it seems to be a good supplement for everything I'm not getting out of food. I also take a B complex for more energy and a D complex through the winter to help a little with depression (It helps with the Seasonal Affect Disorder)
  • That dijon mustard dressing sounds delightful!!
