I do dead-lifts up to 110lbs. I'm not a bodybuilder.... I think doing squats at home is a great idea, but eventually your body will get used to squatting with your own body weight; so at one point, it will become too easy and kinda pointless. To counter this you have to add weight and/or resistance. So if you're squatting…

My Fiance & My Personal Trainer. My Mom also encourages me but I don't talk to her very often. Emmalee

Hi Hi HI! Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, I've been residing in Montreal for like the last 10 some years. I'm Canadian too!

If you watch your diet too then yes, this will work at first. But after a certain amount of time you will 'plateau' and your walking won't do anything anymore. At that point you'll have to change something to increase intensity (speed up, add weight, walk even longer, start jogging for 2 mins, etc). Our bodies quickly…

lol, too funny! Emmalee

Yup, exactly. This is what I would recommend too. I go to Decleor for facials, they are super relaxing. It's a treat. I also bought a few of their products, but not everything... too expensive for me!! Emmalee

Actually, the Clinique 3-Step plan (Wash, Tone, Moisturize) isn't really a 'medication' from what I know about it... It's not exactly "natural" per-say, but it's not medication in the form of a pill, it's topical. If you have a big mall nearby, there may be a Clinique Kiosk in the cosmetic department. They will give you…

Omg, thanks for sharing your photos! You are so incredibly beautiful, I'm speechless! You look like a completely different woman! Keep it up Rose! Emmalee

Using any cardio machine do INTERVALS! If you're beginner and you easily fall out of breath: Over 10 to 15 minutes: 2 minutes - Moderate Level (ex. Level 4 - 5) 20 seconds - High Intensity (ex. Level 8 - 10) Keep doing this for the entire 10 to 15 minutes, then really lower the intensity level to cool down. If you're not…

Cooking Light Fresh Food Fast is a good cookbook for quick meals that are very tasty but require few ingredients. I've been making many meals from it lately and most do leave leftovers for the next couple of days. Emmalee

Scope out the area around your new job. Is there a gym? Could you possibly go at lunch time then eat afterwards at your desk? Just a thought! Emmalee

LOL, I also did not know what NSV stood for until this thread, was trying to figure it out for the life of me! Thank you for enlightening me. I'm totally experiencing NSV's. People at my gym are starting to notice my weight loss. What kills me is that my family hasn't seen me yet, lol. I won't be seeing my parents until…

While I'm not necessarily overweight because I'm very tall, back in October 2012 I definitely had extra pounds that were annoying... So for me, my belly would constantly push my pants down and the bottoms of my tops up... not sure if you know what I mean, but my shirt would never stay bloody down, what my Fiance & I call…

In my situation I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment; it's just my Fiance and I. I do not have adequate space at home to do workouts, so I don't really have a choice but to go to the gym. I've adapted my Monday to Friday schedule to work / to go gym / rest on weekends. I am very fortunate to be allowed to take a 2 hour…

I record everything I eat very strictly but concerning the numbers, I use them only as a guide to get an idea. The #'s are an estimate. When I track what I'm eating I am *aware* of what I'm choosing so I make better choices. It's not entirely about the numbers.

Great work!

I'm FAR from doing any sort of body building competition and I do dead-lifts with my PT. He's had me do up to 110 lbs, actually, but I don't do many reps... I'm just starting more 'serious' strength training. Dead-lifts are awesome for your butt, abs, and even some upper body parts like the shoulders.

Right now for Cardio I really like this Stairmaster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWDxRT72bKk I pour sweat from a 15 minute interval workout. For weight training: Tricep Pull-Downs

I see how having a 'deadline' could be motivating in a way, but the language isn't right... universally we use 'deadline' as a common term at work and it is generally associated with negativity & pressure. Instead of deadline, I'd say "Time Goal of _______ (fill in time here, 1 month/2 months/6 months...). I'm getting…

Your picture struck me! You look so great!!!!! A huge congratulations. Do you have any tips? Your change is remarkable! Emmalee

I have a belly button piercing! I've always wanted a tattoo but frankly I'm scared. I know TONS of people get them, but it kinda scares me.... I'm not a huge fan of needles. lol. I'd love my astrological sign.....

LOL "unless it's like mint cream oreos" Too funny! But ya, in all seriousness I'd have to agree... I see a lot of people of all sizes eating poutine, for example... (I live in Quebec, Canada, lol, so it's only by natural human nature to eat poutine, but I'm from ONTARIO so I never got hooked!!!), and I'm just like, "wow, I…
