Quest bars seem to be the lesser of all evils. Low calories, high protein and not any unidentifiable ingredients. I have tried the Perfect Food bars were too high in calories and sugar.

I make all my shakes with water, but for a creamier result I use unsweetened coconut milk.

Just because it turns brown doesn't mean it's gone bad!
-
PR bars actually have a lot of nasty stuff in them, so just check labels.

You can buy bags of hard boiled eggs.
-
I am afraid of refined sugar because it makes me feel like crap!

A lot of people on here seem to like Quest bars and they seem like the lesser of all the protein bar evils. I have tried them and I avoid gluten, dairy, soy and haven't had a problem with them.

Everything in sight! No, not really. I crave but I try to stick to my routine because I know all the stuff I am craving will make me feel like crap. I had Cheetos last night and sure enough I have felt awful all day today.

Tofu isn't Paleo! I haven't really come across anything I miss enough to find a substitution for. I have had to make my own BBQ sauce and kethcup though
-
I nice 6 oz. filet mignon and a homemade crab cake.

I cut out wheat as well and feel so much better (no more bloating, less gas, less cravings). I didn't do it for weight loss, but it did help. I'd much rather get my fiber from fruits and vegetables than grains.

Is this a serious question?

Did you get the book? I found the shopping lists helpful the first few weeks. I think you can find them only in you don't have the book. As for sticking to eat, once you are past the first 30 - it's really easy. The things for me is, if I slip up - I feel it. The first time I had cheese -ugh, I felt lethargic, was bloated…

How are meats, fruits and vegetables chemicals?

I didn't start eating cleaner for weight loss, I did it for overall health. It has worked for me in that area (less stomach issues, depression gone, medications stopped). Weight loss was just a bonus. ETA: the 80/20 works for me and it's not ever PopTarts and other crap processed foods. The 20% for me is air popped popcorn…

I would suggest a protein shake. I just started using Vega and really like it.

My boyfriend read the book and tried it. About a week in he gave up, bought a Paleo book and we've been Paleo ever since.
-
I just eat when I'm hungry. Sometimes it's after 2 hours, sometimes it could be 5-6 hours.
-
I don't use Shakeology, but how about adding a teaspoon or two of unsweetened cocoa powder? I use Vega powder in the chocolate flavor but I like it even more chocolatey so I added cocoa. If you aren't opposed to artificial sweeteners, I've heard of people putting a little powdered sugar-free pudding mix in theirs shakes…

Chicken breast, top w/sliced onions, cover with salsa verde, bake at 350 for 1 hour. It's even better if you cook on low in crock pot for 4 hours. It's under 300c per serving. Another is a lean 4 oz. filet mignon (200c) and homemade crab cakes (100c each). 1 lb fresh or canned Dungeoness crab meat 1/4 cup coconut flour 2…

I would think there would be some vinegar and honey in there. Google Paleo steak sauce and you should find some goos steak sauce recipes. Keep in mind though, home made BBQ sauces and steak sauces usually need to be chilled overnight to get the right consistency (and usually taste better 2nd day).

You can actually just build your plate on the website and it gives you the exact nutrition.

My son loves sugar plum tomatoes (smaller and oval as opposed to round cherry tomatoes), mini carrots, persian cucumbers (smaller and sweeter), sugar snap peas.
-
I just started using Vega protein powder and really like it. It's a pea protein powder and it's the only protein powder I've tried that hasn't upset my stomach. If you have a Whole Foods near you, you can buy individual packets of different protein powders to try - that's how I settled on Vega.

The OP's sample menu post is pretty bad! My son is in public school and always eats in the cafeteria BUT they buy all their produce local and organic, have a full salad bar for the kids and use responsibly raised meats. They only 'bad' day they have would be Fridays when they have pizza, but even then it's fresh, locally…

Looking at the ingredients and all the junk that's in them, I would definitely bloat!

Probably 3x a week I go over. Usually once time is by a couple hundred calories and the others are maybe 20-50c.

1. Coconut in some form (oil, flour, flakes) 2. Apples 3. Chicken 4. Lean grass fed beef 5. Eggs 6. Protein powder (Vega pea protein) 7. Popcorn 8. Tea 9. Skinny Crips crackers 10. Granola (my weakness)

There are foods that don't agree with my body so I avoid them as much as possible: Grains/Gluten Legumes Dairy Soy Processed meats (I try to stick to grass fed) refined sugar artificial sweeteners

You are probably getting the headaches from sugar and other food withdrawals (did you lower your carb intake?). Have you tried liquid stevia? You only use 3-4 drops of it.
