It's awesome that you quit smoking! I used to chew on straws when I quit. It's kind of gross, but that's what worked for me.

I know people might not think so, but I do feel like sugar is addicting. It's hard to give it up and I wouldn't recommend eliminating it altogether. There are lots of healthier ways to get something sweet. I always try to keep some fruit in the house. Peanut butter is another good option.

I'm trying to do this too. The hardest part for me was finding out how many foods have added sugar in them! Things I didn't expect at all, such as pasta sauce. Reading labels on food was really eye opening.

Hello all. My name is Barbara and I'm a "new" vegetarian. I stopped eating meat not for ethical reasons, but more for health reasons. I told myself I would try it for a month, then go from there. 3 weeks in and I'm feeling pretty good, so I think I will stick with it. I might even consider giving up dairy products as well.

I told myself when I reach my goal weight I'd get the tattoo I've wanted for years.
-
I have the same problem. I'm going to add you as a friend. We can do it together!

I honestly don't think t makes much of a difference, but I'm not curvy enough to be an expert. I'd rather be comfortable while sleeping though.

It's something I've always wanted to try because I think it could really help with my (lack of) flexibility. I currently take a regular yoga class once a week and really enjoy it, but would like more. If you're concerned about price, you could try looking for deals on Groupon or Living Social. I see a lot of yoga studios…

I can somewhat relate to this. I used to work in a place with some catty women. The backstabbing and rude comments really annoyed me. They are likely just insecure and jealous of you. Try not to let it bother you. Life's too short!

My goals are to drink more water and watch my sugar intake. I've noticed I keep going over my limit in sugar!
-
I don't see it on myself at all, but other people have commented on it. Maybe it's because you see yourself everyday that you don't notice it. 17lbs is a lot though so keep up the great work!

I just found out about these videos and heard they are really great! I subscribed to her channel on youtube and her blog. I can't wait to check the videos out!!

I like soy milk, but only drink it occasionally. I prefer the taste of regular milk over it. I'm trying to limit dairy because I read it aggravates my skin, so I hardly ever drink that either.

Several people asked me "how far along I was".

Awesome! I'm trying to do a 5K as well. I've never been a runner, but everyday I try to add on a minute to my run. I'm starting out slowly, but will work my way up eventually,

I go to the produce stand/market by my house. It's always cheaper than the grocery store and usually better quality.
-
I always workout before dinner.
-
My goal weight is in what is considered normal, but if you'll feel confortable at that weight, then stay with it. Everyone is different!

Pizza!

I've lost a small dog LOL. Congrats to you! I told my friend the same thing when he lost 65 lbs. He went on to lose another 40!
-
Everyone has different tastes, so you'll never get a definitive answer. Your goals should be for you, not for someone else!
-
What does the relationship mean to you? If you are serious about this person, I don't think it should be such a black and white decision.
-
Love it! Especially #4 and #5. Congrats to him.

I have finished close to last in the 2 5K's I've done. It didn't bother me one bit. I was doing it for charity and my bad time didn't mean the charities wouldn't get the money. I signed up for another 5K yesterday. Can't wait for it.

Forget about what happened in the past. Focus on today. Just because you slipped up doesn't mean you failed. You can do it!
-
I've started doing this as well. The main thing I've noticed is my energy level remains the same and I don't have to eat as much to feel full. I don't need to drink coffee in the morning to wake myself up.
-
While it might not be an ideal situation, there isn't much that you can do now right? You'll figure out a way to get through it. To all the people that think you won't, prove them wrong. I'm sure you will do great.

I just started eating a more Paleo diet and have done a lot of research on it. It's nice to read different opinions. I feel like there are a lot of different interpretations of this diet. Some people say it's ok to eat sweet potatoes and drink coffee, some say no way. Some people eat dairy, some don't. A common theme I'm…

Yikes! But what she chooses to do to her body is her choice, I suppose.

Wow, what a change! Keep it up!!
