I get my chocolate fix everyday in one of two ways. I add a tablespoon of cocoa powder and a little stevia (Truvia) to plain yogurt or I add one tablespoon of cocoa powder to my morning smoothie (mixed berries, protein powder, cocoa and spinach). Yes the spinach sounds gross but the berries and cocoa cover it up and counts…

Culver's bacon double butterburger, onion rings, and a concrete mixer... 2700+ calories.... I consumed this every night for 30 days (bad work experience).... sigh... but now I am on track and no more Culver's EVER.

Watch the sodium and also processed food. Drink LOTS of water.

46 years old. Once saw 187 on my HRM and was not feeling real good. I have done some submax texts to determine my max and they have come out between 190 and 210 so I just use 200 as my max when determining exercise range. The whole max heart rate being 220 - age is old school.

I grab a handful of dried fruit and eat it just before I head out the door. And to Brandylynette... take your time. Don't worry about how fast or far others are going. We are all individuals and have our own pace.

Congrats. Keep up the good work. Slow and steady wins the race.

Welcome to MFP. I too have lots of IT-related weight to lose. Feel free to add me as a friend.

I run because I can. I am not fast but I don't care. It clears my mind and reminds me that I am alive.

We are all here to give you a hand back on to the wagon. Use this setback as motivation to get back in the game and you will be at the finish line before you know it.

Just remember that the goal is to finish. Do not put too much pressure on yourself by setting a time goal. And remember it is okay to walk. I have done four 1/2s and did run/walk (4 min run / 1 min walk) for all them. My hip joints appreciate the variety. Starting now is a good time. My first 1/2 I started training in…

Are you eating much in processed food? Even though it may be low in sodium alot of the preservatives can also cause you to retain water.

Congrats on making the decision. It will be the best decision you ever made.

Not having to wear a bra all the time. Not seeing my cheeks in my lower vision when I smile. Being able to get up on the floor after playing with my dog without it being a big event.
-
Congrats! That is a great accomplishment. You will be ready for a 10K before you know it

I walk just about every day because my dog doesn't understand days off. Our mimimum is one mile. Most days it is 1 mile in the morning and anywhere from 1 - 3 in the evening. The only time I get a day off is if it is raining all day :-)

You look great! My starting weight was 230 12 days ago... I can't wait to get to onederland. Thanks for the inspiration.

Welcome to MFP. And I feel your pain. I lost 47 lbs last year and gained it back and then some. None of my fall clothes fit. I started the 17 Day Diet last Monday. It seems to work for me. I eat a lot of protein and all the veggies I want. So far no cravings and I feel pretty good. Feel free to add me as a friend.
