I can gain five pounds overnight if I have a really salty meal. Also alot of the 'stuff'' in processed food makes me retain water. It can take up to three days to get it off. Eight glasses of water is the minimum. My doctor said 1/2 oz for every pound. So eight glasses of water will be fine when I get passed my goal…

I prefer almond butter and I mix it with some cocoa powder and stevia to get my chocolate fix.

Currently reading Devil in the White City.... true story of a serial killer doing his hunting during the World's Fair in Chicago in 1892. I didn't think I would like it but some recommended it and it has a lot of interesting little facts - like this is where shredded wheat and cracker jack became popular.

Please add me. I have 81 more lbs to lose and can use all the support I can get.

Send me a friend request. I, too, am looking to eat as clean as I can.

I love my buff... someone previously posted the website. I don't know how I ever worked out without it.

I am on C1D9 and I have lost 9 lbs so far. I am a usually a stress eater and have a lot of cravings. So far - no cravings. I did have a couple of pieces of candy last night but other than that I have been sticking to the program. There have been a few days were I have been barely able to get up to 1200 calories. I am…

Welcome Julie. I will send you a friend request. Tracking your food and staying away from white sugar and processed foods is a good start.

Congrats. Keep up the good work.

It can be very frustrating... don't give up just yet. Remember how you felt six weeks ago? How do you feel physically today? Better? If you give up, you will go back to feeling bad. It's a live style change and you are going to run into plateaus. You can do it.

I too am very sensitive to sodium. You have to keep up the water and watch the salt. I don't salt anything anymore. Excercise is good for sweating it out.

GC Brancrisp... takes a bit of courage to get past the fact that it is 12 calories and 5 fibers...They look like partical board. I spread on laughing cow cheese or nut butter. Lately, I have been mixing cocoa powder and stevia into plain non fat yogart and I use this as a spread. They also add a nice crunch to salad. Gotta…

I have had other experts tell me 1/2 oz of water for every pound of body weight... which puts me at over 100 oz a day. I have a 24 oz glass and I fill it up five times a day. I have one before work, three at work, one after work. It took a bit to get used to that much but I can really feel the difference when I am short on…

Thanks for the link to the recipes. I get tired of chicken and broc every night.

I hope it is not too late to join. ...I just found your post. I started the 17 Day Diet on 10/24.... I am down 8lbs already! My goal for the end of the year 215 or less (16 lbs). I am committed to burning at least 2500 calories via exercise per week for the rest of the year.

You look great. Keep up the good work. You will be there before you know it.

I'm in for 3000. Looking forward to jumping through November.

Welcome! Looks like we have the same weight-loss goal. Please feel free to add me as a friend. I know what I need to do. I just need support to keep me on track.
-
Congrats! Keep up the good work.

It is encouraging to hear that MFP has helped you keep on track. I lost 47 lbs last year and have put it all (plus some) back on again. Sigh.... I am on day 7 of starting over, after many failed attempts over the last six months. I really feel like I can get the weight off and keep it off this time. I just need to remember…

Great job! My friends at work clued me in to the Salvation Army for interim clothing. I needed some fall clothing because last year's stuff is too small. I knew I would not be able to lose enough weight to fit into them in time and I did not want to spend a lot of money. I got 10 pieces for $50. Most of the stuff they have…

Fiber One or F-Factor brand are good options if going the cereal route...can never have too much fiber...but have to drink LOTS of water.

Great job! I did a couple of tri's back in 2005 and have since gained quite a bit of weight... you are an inspiration to get back on the training wagon. Thanks for sharing your success.
