I have often wondered about that difference (what you burn doing nothing vs exercising) as well! I always enter the calories MFP or a HR monitor says I burn, but then I usually only eat about about half my exercise cals back. I figure that makes up the difference and brings me closer to the true net I am aiming for!

I walk by a walk-on medical scale everyday when walking in our treatment room (dialysis... no pts on T & TH, and after 11am every other day--2000 sq ft to get my walk on!). It literally took EVERY ounce of my willpower today not to step on it!!! My smaller size clothing is already feeling a little loose on me (woo hoo!)…

For the moment, I am just bumping for later. But I did want to throw in there--APRIL... I LOVE the pics!!! You did a wonderful job and your niece must be so pleased

What to use avocado or guac on... hmm, where to start? EVERYTHING!!! OK, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I freaking LOVE avocados  I use it as a sub for mayo on sandwiches, in addition to things others have listed. If you like sushi, try an Avocado-Peanut roll sometime... lots of "good" fats and it just…

I don't have the Shakeology, but I'm sure they have a chocolate flavor... if so, I just mix about 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1 cup skim milk, and 1 scoop chocolate protein powder. Reminds me of a Strawberry Julius, but no (added) sugar!!! Or chocolate covered strawberries... YUM either way :D
-
I don't even look at sugar--I know there are too many things I would have to give-up (my daily banana for starters--absolutely not willing to!) to meet the goal. I will sometimes try to keep my "added" sugars under like you suggested, but I have no data to back that up--just how I feel when I do! Those that keep it under…

I cannot believe it's already WEEK 8!!! My how time flies when you're shedding your former self  No weigh-in still... can't wait until Easter when I get to do a 47-day wait weigh-in! Kind of scared though... :indifferent: At least I FEEL healthy/fit/skinnier/happier!!!! Challenge 1 - Walk, Jog, Run, Ride, ect 7…

OK, I have been TOTALLY M.I.A. ... but in my defense, I was out there kicking *kitten* and taking names!!! Still haven't weighed yet *yay* And it has been HARD lately... knowing that Friday has been a full month... seeing that stupid "28" on my ticker that hasn't moved... having lots of friends and family ask…

I use some roasted garlic (I make a big batch every weekend!) mixed with a little greek yogurt (I like Fage... more expensive, but SO YUM) on my baked potato--GREAT butter sub! It would probably be good on the dinner roll (or any other "starchy" food), but not sure about the veggies. It's not really a sub, but I use a TINY…

Regarding your shoes... I agree with Moylie that you can find some good ones that are inexpensive to start with (I found my first pair of NB's at GI Joes on clearance!), but if you wind up addicted to running (which is very common!) you'll want to invest. If you want, you can even go get fitted at a running store just to…

OK--I have to laugh b/c I, too, have gained FAB looking armpits, but still have some wings goin on! It took me almost 2 months of consistantly working out (part of that was Shred) before I finally lost some "span" on my wing area. But yeah--your body is still probably just in shock a bit and not ready to "let go"…

I think if you just change your "IMG"s to "img"s it's supposed to work... or so I've heard :) Great loss though--that is almost exactly my journey so far... same weights and height even!!! It's super great to lose weight on a short frame b/c even a few lbs make a big difference. CONGRATS!!! :flowerforyou:

Waa Haa Haa... not my @ss in the pic, but it will be soon :flowerforyou: As a straight female who loves to see hot booties I fully support Share Your @ss Friday! Wait... maybe I should reword that...

Greek Yogurt (plain... my fave if Fage) / Romaine / Almonds / Bananas / Low-Fat Feta / Berries / Bell Peppers & Tomatoes / Chicken I can make a TON of different meals with just the items listed above :)

Sorry to hear about your knee April--I hope you are able to heal/recover quickly!!! Thanks for still taking the time to put together challenges for us  JeninBelgium--I absolutely  your profile pic! My mom has a pair of wooden clogs and my sister and I used to play around in them--an obstacle course sounds…

Do you mean Warrior Dash? I tried googling Monster Dash and could only find 1/2 marathon results, but none with any obstacles. If it is Warrior Dash, there was a gal earlier this week that posted a blog about her Dash over the past weekend--you might be able to find if by searching in Blogs :) Good luck if you decide to…

 Thx for posting... I love bodyrock.tv, and somehow I missed this! I'm happy to see support of both watching your intake AND exercising--so important!!! For me, counting my calories allows me to find the better, whole, cleaner foods mentioned so it is win-win! Of course my plan is to eventually not have to track…

Challenge 1 - Week 6 *Ab Workouts* COOL--I'm glad to get some more ideas, as I just entered an "ab-workout-a-day-til-Easter" challenge. I will definitely be checking these out  Challenge 2 - Week 6 *Strength* I have slowly been adding strength exercises (and more protein!) to the mix, and I love doing something…

Tag for later... but happy Spring to everyone--I LOVE Spring and all of the fresh, new things it brings :)

Don't give-up, hon! At least on your efforts... perhaps you could give-up the scale for awhile though?! I am currently on a "scale diet" for Lent, and it has magically transformed me into a super-focused health nut! There are so many reasons you could be up, and some of them are actually good (muscle gain!). Drink some…

Have you tried updating the app? If it's an Android app, they just put out an update today to add the "complete" button and fix a few other bugs. Hopefully that helps!

I have been super MIA from both last week and this week--yikes! Unfortunately, I don't have a long time to get this in either... just wanted to say the posts are great on this thread... I love seeing everyone's happy things every day  Great idea, Pink! I've been working out pretty hard this week (for me), and that…

First I have to apologize I am late getting this posted, and have been totally “absent” lately—can you believe I’ve actually been having to WORK at work?! I adore GY, but I can't do it plain without some kind of sweetness... I do like the plain in place of similar "creamy" toppings/mixings w/a spice or herb mixed in. Sub for: Sour Cream Mayo Cream Cheese Great in Mac & Cheese for a healthy version It's so versitile and AWESOME!!!

YUM--I loves me some mushrooms!!!

Check out this link--not only does it have meal ideas, but pictures (if you're visual like me!): http://www.diet-blog.com/07/what_do_300_calorie_meals_look_like.php Also, if you like fish, that's always a good meal idea... I usually sprinkle my tilapia with dill and a squeeze of lemon, chop some veggies (zucchini, yellow…
