I would think that anything before you eat wouldn't burn as much, just for lack of energy. I also find personally that I burn less at night because I'm exhausted by that point. I prefer to work out after breakfast, ( I am a stay at home mom, so my schedule is a little more flexible) I think it gives me energy for the day…

I'm an italian pasta and bread girl, so the carb thing only usually works for a week with me before I binge like crazy. I found that the metformin my dr prescribed really really really helped, and I don't have to watch my carbs as much.

I love my protein shakes, besides water they are the best. They are quick, easy, and definetly filling, plus when I'm craving candy, my chocolate one is fantastic, so I mix that with peanut butter, or some rice krispies, and it totally solves that!

The lb of fat takes up almost double the room the lb of muscle takes up, so you may gain weight by adding muscle in place of fat, but you will lose inches, that's why when you stall you need to have your measurements so you can see the difference. Also the more muscle you have the more fat you burn : )

I was always told just not to eat 2-3 hours before you sleep. I am usually up until 12 or 1, and don't wake up until around 10 or 11, so we eat dinner at 8/8:30.
