  • Every time I get up from my desk I try to do at least 100 steps either around the office or in place.
  • I found out 3 years ago that I have Hashimoto disease. I was put on Synthroid and it took a few months of having the dosage adjusted until my numbers were good. I now feel "normal" again. I'm also losing weight again which I couldn't do before we found that my thyroid was not working at all.

  • I quit almost 9 months ago. I couldn't do both at the same time so I just focused on the non smoking. I gained 42lbs. In April I decided to start working on the weight. It's gone really slow but I'm doing it. I can run now and not feel like I'm going to die.
  • Tim McGraw on 7/13/14 at the Amphitheatre here in Atlanta
  • This is a new day. You can do this!
  • This is so true. I've started running in between my walk. I want to love it but I just don't. I'll keep doing it but I'm hoping it grows on me as I progress. I do at least 3 miles, 3x a week. I'm focusing on time right now but I would love to be able to run the whole 3 miles at some point. I'm just not there yet.
  • I quit Nov 8th of last year after my husband had a massive heart attack. I used Chantix for about 6 weeks and I'm positive it helped me quit. Now I very rarely even think of smoking and when I do I remind myself that I'm a non smoker. It really is mental after the initial few days. Just do it! Good Luck.
  • I needed to see this today. My daughter went into labor on Sunday and had an emergency c section on Monday evening. I stepped on the scale and had gained 4lbs. I know I ate crappy hospital food and didn't exercise at all in about 4 days but this threw me for a loop. I need to get back on track and not get so frustrated.
  • Good luck to you on this journey. I was diagnosed with Fibro 14 years ago. I refuse to allow it to stop me from living my life but I do listen to my body and adjust when I need to.
  • Another long time lurker. I finally got my act together in April.
  • Run as fast as you can. If you were perfect and he loved you he would have married you already.
