  • Thank you for all your help everyone! I'm on 1200 per day now xx
  • It sounds like you're suffering with Body Dysmorphia. I'd go see a doctor.
  • The book is only about a fiver on Amazon so I'm gonna buy it on Friday and give this 5:2 diet a go. I'm hoping it'll break me out of this plateau I've hit. :) I'll try and update you all once I get going.
  • Personally, I found that doing exercise that my body isn't used to, made my weight come off quicker. For example, I have danced all my life so I thought that getting back into dancing would be great for weight loss but it didn't really make a huge difference. Mainly because (I think) it's not a 'shock' on my body. So, I've…
  • When you have a gathering at home and don't touch the nibbles you've laid out, but then near enough force feed your guests so you're not tempted when they've gone! Also, when you save up some calories for a cheeky few alcoholic beverages at said gathering, and realise, no food + alcohol = one merry, giggly Hev !! haha!
  • I've just done day one of level one and I'm shattered!! I love this kind of training and level one is on youtube so it's free!! If I get on with level one and need that extra push, I'll definitely be buying the DVD and having a go at level two.
  • When I was 16, I was performing in shows with my dance school and always dreaded costume fittings. The worst was when we were looking at ordering in the leotards we required for one of the dances and I overheard my dance teacher say "We'd better order the largest size for Heather, we can always alter it to make it bigger…
  • I know that feeling, been a GG cup for years and just can't seem to shrink them!!!
  • I actually noticed it in my shoulders and arms first. Every other time I've lost weight it comes off my face first. Still can't seem to get any off my bust tho!!!
  • It's a great feeling, I haven't been in the 10 stone XX lbs range for years and to be able to say I am is so exciting for me. . . . . Now to be able to say I'm 9 stone something is gonna be even more of an achievement!!
  • Chicken Stew in the slow cooker (Tuesday is a busy day so I usually bung a meal in the slow cooker) 2 Chicken Breasts chopped into chunks A pack of pre-peeled, washed and chopped Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato A pack of diced Carrots and Swede Some Chopped Leeks Some savoy cabbage Vegetable stock Boiling water 1…
  • What did people do before internet dating? Or Facebook?! lol Get yourself out with your friends and enjoy being young, free and single and Mister Right could just be waiting in the right Wine Bar/Club/Gym/Dance Class etc . . . . . Personally, I'd given up on all men after being in a violent relationship then an emotionally…
  • Hey guys, I did my first morning of the 30 day shred today and have a feeling I'm going to ache tomorrow! I'm glad to find a group on here to help with my motivation as that seems to be something I have severely lacked in the past. I have fallen well and truly off the healthy living wagon over this last week and gained…
  • Get woken up by boyfriends alarm at 5.30am (I never have to be at work until 9.30am) Try and get back to sleep after BF has made a lot of noise getting ready for work Give in and get up Have a wee Weigh myself Move the huge glass coffee table Choose fitness DVD I fancy that morning Do said DVD Make a nice filling breakfast…
  • I make a nice soup with Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato. Add an onion and some veg stock and boiling water and leave to simmer. It's gorgeous, filling and very sweet so hits all the spots without being loaded with calories.
  • If you're eating well and are looking for a way to tone the abs (like I was) give Pole Dance Fitness a try. It's so much fun (take a friend with you, it's a great thing to do together) and believe me, you can definitely feel it in your tummy muscles the next day! I've danced all my life but stuck to Ballet and theatre…
  • I'd have my breasts reduced but obviously to a size that wouldn't make me look like a pear (although I don't have much of a bum or hips anyway). I'm considering surgery because I look so out of proportion. I love being hourglass but the chest takes it to the extreme!! lol
  • How do I put pics up? Can't seem to be able to copy and paste or anything.
  • I log in every day, I don't know what I ever did without MFP. Everything I eat or drink gets entered on here on the app on my phone and it's amazing to help me keep track of what I'm putting into my body. Most days I'm under my calorie goal but nobody is perfect and has 'off' days. I'm always honest about what I'm eating…
  • I have found that regardless how many times I eat a day, or what I actually eat, so long as I am under my calorie goal for the day or a couple over, I still lose weight steadily and I don't feel hungry!! Having said that, I'm usually good at exercising but am unable to for a short while (docs orders) so I'm keeping my eye…
  • I've always been described as curvy/hour glass etc but honestly, it's just my huge boobs. It's more noticeable since I've lost a little weight. My bra size is a UK 32GG (got measured last weekend to be sure). I'm on a weight loss mission mainly to try and shrink the boobs as I suffer really badly with back pain and purse…
  • I'm registering to run my first 5k in August. This is 'The Race For Life' in aid of Cancer research. If you['re not from the UK and aware of this event, it's a women only run and all money raised is going to charity. We all dress up in pink and either Run, Jog or Walk the 5k and raise as much as we possibly can in the run…
  • I know how you feel, I'm going through the same thing today. I don't seem to be able to lose any more weight and I'm yoyoing between a couple of pounds but I'm only really on week two which is renowned for being the most difficult time to see further results. Even so, I'm finding it difficult to keep focused and not give…
  • If I wasn't determined to shift this weight before, I definitely am now! Thank you for your inspiring story. You look fabulous!
  • I agree, the best thing to do is make sure you enjoy your weekend but eat accordingly the rest of the weekend to allow for alcohol or treats. For example, I knew I was going to the pub last night for the quiz, so I was really good all day, eating well but lower calorific foods to allow space in my calories for a couple of…

  • I've had to give up running! I've been getting up at 6am and going for a run for about 30 mins before my sit-ups etc at home. Being a rather, ahem, top~heavy girl, my sports bra has rubbed my right shoulder so badly that i actually have a scab there now!! Can't afford to go bra shopping, so I've been doing the dance DVDs I…
  • I'm a UK girl and just joined MFP on Friday. Not gonna lie, I have done a lot of 'dieting' before and not been very successful. But I have a very very good feeling about this one :D
