I only drink Coffee with a little milk and can drink it black. I think I might give it up for entirely different reasons. I think it might be provoking my anxiety a little, want to take a break and see if the levels come down. I was told by a therapist that it can cause anxiety in some people.

I do compound movements regularly, I realised quite quickly that these were more effective at building muscle and strength. I add in some isolation exercises for arms and calves because they are so difficult to grow with me. I do deadlifts, I do squats, I do military press, etc etc etc. My posture has improved immensley…

I'm 6ft 3, I weigh 202lbs, some of it could be loose skin, but some is definitely fat I'm almost positive that I can tell the difference. I have a split routine that I do for legs and shoulders, chest and tris and back and bis.

I'm not really sure what your question is to be honest...

I'm actually aiming for maintenance now, I gained too much too quick on a bulk. On workout days I'll eat a little over, but other than that I'm going for about 2500 cals a day.

98lbs is severely underweight, your body will be doing EVERYTHING in it's power to gain weight at this stage. Don't worry about it, this is essential to your recovery, the weight gain is actually progress and your body is busy repairing damages to organs and replenishing a HEALTHY level of fat stores. This rapid weight…

Thanks for the support! It's that mental battle again, mind quite literally over matter with this. Thanks for the link as well, I'm gonna have a good read. I think sometimes I panic a little because I know all too well how good I am at eating :/

Perilously close though aren't I? I'm just hoping my stomach will tighten up. It's just my stomach that I'm having problems with. Hoping lifting will help. Honestly at about 190bs my lowest weight on record I felt awful. No energy and cold all the time.

If you feel you look healthier and feel better at a higher weight, don't let anybody even your mother stop you. I have been a number of different weights throughout my life, I have gained a little lately, I have more energy, my moods are more controlled I feel happier, I like my body shape better. I'm lifting weights, you…

Just had a really nice combo I sort of made up today. I'm bulking atm... 100g Rolled Oats 350ml Semi Skimmed Milk 25g Cookies n Cream Whey Protein (Vanilla would work too) 1 tsp Light Brown Sugar 1 Medium Banana Ground Nutmeg (To taste) Was really pleasant! It's a keeper ;)

Find a friend that is really fit and goes to the gym often, ask them if you can tag along and get the hang of what they do on a day to day basis. It's also fun going to the gym with somebody else! :)

I'm pretty new to bulking, but from what I understand you're going to gain fat, it's just going to happen. You look really slim anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. I have a higher body fat than you and I'm eating more carbs than your diet suggests, the protein intake is perhaps a little unnecessarily high. Maybe lift 3…

Evidently not female, but happy to have any and all lifter diaries to browse, I log my food regularly so you'll always have something to look at! :)

So, basically I just need to stick with it and accept I'm going to gain some fat, then when I'm happy with the muscle gains, it's time to cut. I'm not sure what all this arguing is over, but thanks for all the information thus far. I guess it's more a mental battle ahead for me than a physical one.

The article was fantastically relevant to me, so points to you guys. I've decided to aim for 1/2 a pound per week rather a full pound which sets me at 2700ish cals. Going to try and get more protein in and cut the fat and sugar down a little.

This is probably the hardest thing I've ever done. I used to be massively heavier than I am now, adding weight back is going to be a massive psychological barrier for me. The thought of ending back where I started is petrifying.
-
Ah wow, thanks guys! Means a lot! I hope it helps in some way to see that it's possible for anyone to do it if I can! :)
-
I'm in the exact same boat, I don't recognise myself, I get treated differently to when I was heavier and I just don't know when to stop with the weight loss! You're not alone in feeling like this!
-
Thank you guys! I'm running now instead of gym, saves me money and I get to look at the outside world rather than a wall! I'm proud of my achievements so far! :)
-
Thanks for that! I think I will give it a go, I am struggling to get to grips (no pun intended) with the percentage stuff, it's all very confusing. I'm going to look into all of this though, I do really want to get into, I'm so fed up of being weak! haha

As many have already said, your doctor thinking you have low thyroid is missing some pretty big problems that have similar symptoms. Eating that little in terms of calories and exercising for that length of time if you exceed a meal of 700 cals? Not healthy, so not healthy that your body is probably unable to warm itself…

My water intake is quite good at work, I only ever get dehydated at weekends. At work we are given a litre water bottle which I fill up about 2 - 3 times a day :)
