Of course, I will do that. Maybe I'll let the thread die and log for a month, then I'll bum it back up and see if anyone has any suggestions.

Are you going along the lines of Cushing's syndrome? I don't like to self-diagnose, but alot of the problems I'm facing do match up almost perfectly which is a little worrying...

Ah thank you for being so supportive! I won't lie, I like sugar, but I am generally very good about not taking it in drinks. I like coffee, which I drink with a little milk and no sugar and I do occaisionally have pudding if it's on the cards, but I don't think anything out of the ordinary really. I have always carred…

No, my lifts have become progressively weaker, except on my legs. I do chest and shoulders, just standard Bench and Incline bench and OHP for something like 5 sets of 8 if I can. Squats and leg press in the same area of sets and reps then back bis and tris doing pull ups (I can barely do two) and lat pull down and dumbell…

I don't, onl if I go out and that rarely happens these days. I tend to feel really ill even from a glass. Lately, I've been pretty despondent, I've been able to follow a regime of 1g per lbs of body weight in the past, but that just made my stomach bigger, so I gave up.

I am about 202lbs, 6ft 3, have been lifting for about a year. I do understand about the spot reducing issue, I just want to lose overall fat.

Then you already know what you need to do. You need to do all the research you can, log your food all the time, learn when you feel most at risk of over eating and find ways to combat it. I did and still do struggle with emotional eating from time to time. You've just got to pull it together and not let the *kitten* win!…

Could still quite easily be water weight, there are so many factors whic affect your scale weight. If you look at yourself in the mirror and you feel you are looking too slim or even emmeciated then add 2-300 cals to your diet. Do that for a month, check you progress in the mirror, if nothing seems to be changing add more,…

So more people seem to be saying calories, but as long as I'm trying to hit my macros on most days, the occaisional lower protein or higher fat day isn't going to hurt right?
-
Cut your sugar intake, eat them plain. Do this for long enough and you won't need them sweetened anymore.

I aim for low fat, it's rare that I achieve anything less than about 25% fat in my day to day diet, I think it's just that if I aim to keep it down I do better, I have tendancy to eat high fat if I don't keep an eye on it! I am aware of the importance of dietary fat for hormone production and other important biological…

Really goood list, inclined to agree that my stomach feels it most after pull ups. Major compound movements are best, you can also throw in a couple ab specific like planks!

I have an open diary, been here for quite a while, but like to have a snoop! Anyone welcome!

I should specify the 500 cal thing is not a general rule, it applies specificaly to me. I get all of these negative side effects if I create a large deficit. I also find that you can avoid some of this better if you do implement good nutrient timing. You'll be aiming to eat something with fast digesting carbs before a…

If your deficit is consistently anything above 500 cals a day, you will suffer from: Low energy levels Chronic fatigue Mood swings Inability to control body temparature Headaches, dizzness, faintness Aaaaand Weight loss Make sure your diet and exercise do not leave you at a deficit of more than 500 cals a day and do not…

A good cup of tea or coffee always tends to curb my sweet tooth. You need soemting with a little bitterness to train your tastebuds off sugar! :)

Tried it today with unsweetened almond milk, so so so much better!

These are all fantastic suggestions! Gonna give almond milk a try and freeze some bananas as well! Thanks guys! :)
