Well I'm not a good one to ask. I disappeared for a couple months and didn't care much about my health (again). Just came back a week ago and frankly, I'm still on the "track everything, avoid soda and avoid fast food" stage. Haven't done much to start exercising yet. Although I think the vibrations from my new motorcycle…

Some coffee and a Special K protein bar. I'm sure these aren't the best things to be eating but it's a tasty 170 calories and gets me by until I can go home and sleep. Better than my old "second dinner" habit.

That's awesome!

I probably should but I don't. I use the excuse that I don't want to sweat too much and then have to go see a client while looking or smelling like I just ran a 5k. I'm sure there are beneficial things I could do though. Heck, even just a walk around the building would be a good idea.

Tonight wasn't good at all. Ended yesterday with some smart(ish) choices from Wendy's but then this morning ate too much fast food from Del Taco. I really need to go grocery shopping this weekend and start bringing food to work. Justifying fast food every day has just got to end.

Added you. Thanks man! If anyone else is interested, we could use one more.

haha, well played.

Yeah, my gym is down the street and it's tempting to go use it in the late hours but if we get a call, we have to be there within 30 minutes (but as fast as possible) so I wouldn't want to show up to someone in crisis while stinking of sweat.

For some reason I don't have that problem too often. I think when I am at work and we have down time, I'm usually on here or on reddit or just browsing the web or watching a movie and it keeps my mind busy enough to where I don't think about it. Tonight though, I got a little hungry and ate the protein bar I was saving for…

Well we don't put ourselves in harms way. If someone's on a ledge, generally the police are there before us and will just take the person to a higher level of care. If it's DV, police will be on scene and already have someone in custody. The calls we get are mostly secured scene calls. Either the people are calling…

haha, well technically it has water in it. but something tells me that wouldn't qualify. lol

the best kind of "aholic" to be. I tend to lean toward the baconaholic end of the spectrum but yours is more popular.

Hahaha, no cutting! throwing mini candies across the room, however, is encouraged.

It's everywhere! Even at work. Literally IN my mailbox at work. I mean come on. That's just mean.

And for us non-brits ... a stone is about 14 pounds (according to wikipedia which never lies). Welcome to MFP! Happy early birthday! You'll find great support here.
-
I'll definitely start doing that. Thanks for the advice.

See and that post-burn is what I'm familiar with in the past when I've worked out. Do some stuff and it hurts/burns the next day. I'm cool with that. That kind of pain feels good. Perhaps the incline contributed. I had it on a pre-set that adjusted throughout the workout. Not drastically but still. Thanks for the feedback.

Ooh, sounds intriguing. You'll have to keep us updated on that.

That's so awesome! Have you done it before?

There's a thread that has a lot of people in it for overnighters. Perhaps you would find some support there. I know a lot of us men post there but there are many women there as well. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1121187-official-nightshift-thread

That's kinda awesome. Definitely out of the norm. I work on a mobile crisis team. Overnight calls mainly consist of suicide prevention, substance abuse and other mental health related issues.

Heck yeah, man. I'm just starting out so I only do like 30 minutes in there but by the time I get there, get changed, do my 30 minutes, people are JUST starting to trickle in. There is one guy there every time I'm there though. He's on the free weights and I'm nowhere near ready for those yet so I've never talked to him…

Wow, this thread started a long time ago. But since it was resurrected ... I live at 51st and Thunderbird. I work out at the Anytime Fitness nearby. Well, let me rephrase that. I have a membership at the Anytime Fitness nearby. I work overnights so the 24 hour access fits my needs.

I wish the groups were more active. I'm subbed to about 6 or 7 of them and there are rarely posts in them. That said, I added ya!

I work in suicide prevention and bullying is obviously a HUGE deal. You have the right plan in place. Get to the school and talk to the principal and his teacher. There is no excuse for a school to allow this kind of behavior and my hope for you is that your school is one of the good ones that will actually do something…

Howling in the desert over here. My Yotes are off to their best start since 2000. Be wary, Western Conference. We're coming for you.

I do have depression but it's situational. I work in the mental health field and while I don't pretend that I can self-diagnose, I am very aware of where my depression comes from and how I am when those factors are not present. I've tried a couple anti-depressants but the side effects made me give up on them. and…

Sweet. I'm adding all of you fellow redditors (the ones who said to, anyway) and I hope you feel free to add me back.

I'm a Cardinals fan. If we're talking MLS type of football, then it'd be the Sounders.
