FWIW, and I agree with Dan on this thread, I just got back from Paris, France. Skinny & gorgeous, every single woman and man in Paris, many of the women are wearing MICRO-MINIS and they can too because they are skinny and gorgeous. Skinny & curvy many skinnier than most Asians with their magic metabolism. They eat…

I love green tea.

Excellent. Yes OA works!!! It really does! :)

I'm not doing well. I seem to be ok with BED/SED currently but I'm in a lot of OA groups online, going to 5 or more a day & things are coming up. Right now it's late and I know I'll feel better in the morning, but still. The layers are coming off and I don't feel mentally well right now :\ It's like the toxins are coming…

Love what you wrote. Am going to read all of in in small bits, such important info.

Great topic. Was just going to post about this. Right now it's 2:37 pm where I live and I'm feeling the afternoon brainfog/ tiredness. My usual thing is to eat because I'm sensitive to caffeine but I decided not to eat & drink GT (mine is GT with CHAI, verrry tasty). The thing about GT is that I can sleep at night on it,…

The Dairy I get my milk from does not use any of that stuff mentioned in the article, and the local bigger dairy does not do any of that stuff either - neither uses GMO's for instance in their milk or feeds, and all allow their cows outside.

Yes, it's happened to me for sure. I have shin splints, they're painful. I also have some bad knee issues a lot. I went to a medical supply place for a couple of very expensive knee things, they let me try them on. I love it. I bought 2 but really, just one is my favorite. I would suggest going to a medical supply place…

Not true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v3kql8aSNI Runner's World also did a segment on someone who is running in Crocs, not the same person as in the youtube video http://www.runnersworld.com/community/forums/runner-communities/barefoot-running/lorraine-gersitz-running-crocs More from Runner's World here…

It's 6:55 am right now & coooold this morning. I don't want to do it but I will.

Ok so that's what happened. Darn Starz! They have "exclusive" agreements with so many movies/exercise, etc people. There's Gaiam tv - $9.95 per month & yogaonline - $9.95 per month too, there's another one called workoutondemand. I just want a yoga & pilates on demand streaming channel.

Thx! I thought I was the "thread killer" here because no one responded after me for ages...lol!

Not that it matters but I used to run in Crocs due to my feet. There's a guy who ran in them on youtube and definitely finished, so if all of the regular shoes hurt your feet try them.

I've run 3x today at home (see above). First run - 22 min - 100 cals Second run - 20 min - 100 cals Third run - 13 min - 100 cals I really haven't run in ages, so this looks fantastic to me! Interesting that I do better with each run!
-
Hi there, can I join? I run at home to videos I like, mostly documentaries. I need some motivation this morning. "Running melts fat" - agree? I run at home on thick mats, really thick ones. I have plantar fasciitis, and knee issues, run barefoot on my mats & I do consider myself a runner! :)

Meh, at least it's food. People use their EBT cards for strippers, gambling, stolen goods, cigarettes and alcohol and the gov't isn't doing a thing about it. Now that gets me steamed. Food? Uneducated people make poor food choices but it's not just them. I mean why are we all here? We all make poor food choices. I don't…

I don't know ED if you're disabled, which might be the reason you are at home but if you're not disabled you've got to get a job. Anything. Because, and I'm being a bit of an armchair shrink here but it sounds like your wife might be resentful of you staying at home and not bringing in the "bread" so to speak. Which is the…

Ohhhh!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! Right, it would add extra strain on the family budget. Do you have a breadmaker machine? Maybe you can buy a used one online and make gluten-free breads? That would help a lot in your situation. Here's a recipe for gluten-free pasta that gets rave reviews…

Beans. We live in a really expensive part of the world and reduced our monthly food bill from $1200 to $420 one month due to eating a lot of beans. Wheat is not something that has "no nutritional value". http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/baked-products/4872/2 To eat cheap you probably do need to put bread back in, unless…

Very interesting. My idea is that Hypoglycemia is the first stop on the Diabetes Highway use a metaphor. I do not have D yet. Let me find an article for you about green tea, something about GT and you don't have the crashes that caffeine causes, probably due to less of a caffeine high. I am not a big low carb advocate but…

Just the top of my head 1 - rice cakes - Quaker White Cheddar rice cakes - 2 of them are just 90 cals 2 - baby carrots 3 - popcorn - about 100 cals for air popped popcorn - 2 tblspns of unpopped = that amount. I use a spray bottle of water and Kernal Seasonings on it. 4 - salad with a vinegrette 5 - kosher dill pickles
-
Thx! Right, I didn't really keep up with that because when we do eat out we never eat at chains. I think that all restaurants, especially the "good" "expensive" ones should post their cal counts. :)

Fascinating subject. My MIL has Alz and, I think, a serious un-dx'd hypoglycemic. My DH's entire family was in denial about my MIL's hypoglycemia/anorexia. She would not drink milk as it would make her "fat" and ate very little real foods. She always had to have chocolate and craved it constantly, and it seemed to me, when…

That's interesting about the calories in Target's FC popcorn. Ordinarily popcorn is about 100 cals for a cup or so - ie, 2 tblspns of popcorn = 100 cals of popped popcorn. I can't imagine what they would use on it to make it so incredibly high in cals!
-
I don't really eat at them either, and I just got back from Europe, so it was a nice revelation to come home to a relatively cheap chain restaurant with cal counts on it. The unfortunate thing about eating at high end restaurants is they use tons of butter, cream, butter, fat, etc. If anything we should know what Thomas…

According to Amazon, Dr. Davis is just another "low carb" advocate http://www.amazon.com/Wheat-Belly-Lose-Weight-Health/product-reviews/1609611543/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_one?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addOneStar&showViewpoints=0 So he's promoting his gluten free diets. Ask the people of Paris, France about wheat-free diets, lol. BTW,…

Hypoglycemia is awful. I have it too. I sent you a friend request, I think we hypos need to stick together. I was up early this morning and started to feel the energy drain about 11 am. I think knowing what time your blood sugar levels go down during the day is helpful. That would make it about 5 hours after I go up. I…
