  • I was the first Bicentennial 4th of July baby born in my town AND I decided to ruin my mother's Independence Day picnic plans (I even got a blurb in the newspaper too, so it totally counts as news!!!) In U.S. News: - US Supreme Court rules that blacks and other minorities are entitled to retroactive job seniority (March…
  • I know, right??? :-) lol I was going to post the same thing!
  • 30DS is amazing!!! I just completed it last week. I did it for 34 days straight (had a buddy doing it with me and did extra days to stay on track with her since she had to miss a couple here and there as she is a runner and had races). I took 2 rest days the entire time (if I do it again, I will definitely NOT do it every…
  • I LOVE quinoa! I make variations on a quinoa veggie salad about once or twice a week. Usually I cut up cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, celery, and asparagus (or whatever floats your boat veggie wise - I like crunch lol) while my quinoa is cooking. Once it is cooked, I add all the veggies and use some sort of dressing to…
  • I personally love Lane Bryant's bras. For everyday bras that is - I haven't tried any sports bras from them. I am also a 44D and they actually carry that size!!! I know that you can order from them online and you can usually find some sort of coupons for them as well. :-)
  • It TOTALLY gets easier. Just stick with it! By Day 4 I thought I was going to die and then on Day 6 it was like my body decided "oh this isn't all that hard" and it was so much easier! I'm on Day 9 Level 2 and when I started Level 2 I cussed her out and yelled obscenities the whole time. Now I just breeze through it and am…
  • I started at 328 lbs (I'm taller though 5'8") and my mobility was seriously affected. My back hurt all the time, I couldn't climb the stairs one floor to my bedroom without getting winded, walk for more than a couple of minutes without feeling fatigued, etc. Over the past 4 months I have lost almost 50 lbs (still nowhere…

  • Thought I would chime in - I am the friend that smerkord started shredding with. :-) I would not consider myself in shape at all. I started 30DS at 285 lbs. The first 3-4 days were the most difficult for me. Starting about day 6, it started getting so much easier and I could feel a HUGE difference in my body. I generally…
  • Yay on both of your NSV's!!! That's so awesome!!! You are doing such a great job and I am happy that you have the NSV's to keep you motivated! WOOHOO!!!
  • Good for all of you starting 30DS or Ripped in 30!!! I just started Level 2 yesterday and I'm sore today! Days 3-5 on Level 1 were the HARDEST for me. I was soooooo sore and just wanted to take a day off. But I pushed through and Days 6-7 were so much easier for some reason!!! Within the first week I lost 5 inches…
  • That is so awesome!!! Great job and good for you :-) Love the marbles in the jars idea - I think I am going to try something similar myself! Any extra motivation is always helpful!
  • This is freaking awesome. So true. :-) I'm one of those smart fawns at the moment but I may evolve into something else one of these days lol
  • Such an amazing day! I'm so happy that I'm trying to hold back tears of joy (cause I'm at work lol! :-)
  • Wooohooo!!!! What a great day!!! :-)
  • This was over 10 years ago. I was out of college but still living in a college town. Some friends and I decided to have a night out on the town and I offered to be the DD for the night. Made our rounds at the bars and then decided to go to an after party at a friends house. As we were getting ready to leave, I was walking…
  • Down 1.6 lbs to 288.6 - almost 40 lbs lost since 3/18/13!
  • Thank you so much for telling your story. I almost didn't even need to see the pictures. The story told me everything I needed to know! You are an AMAZING person and reading your story (heck and seeing the pictures) is inspiring and motivational! Again, thank you so much for sharing. You just gave me that little extra push…
  • I weigh myself once a week (on Fridays) just make sure that I'm on track. But I keep the scale in the spare bathroom upstairs so that I don't see it every day and am not tempted to weigh myself daily! :-)
  • NSV's today: 1) Wearing a pair of pants that I couldn't fit into 2 weeks ago!!! 2) Have had more compliments than I can count today from co-workers telling me how "skinny" or "good" I am looking!! Needless to say, I'm all smiles today!!!
  • Femme sub/switch if asked. Currently in a monogamous relationship, non-lifestyle. Open to like-minded friends. :-)
  • What's going well for me is I have finally gotten into a rhythm with my food. I've been pre-planning meals and pre-packing food every night to take to work. I'm doing well eating just under my calorie goal (try to keep it to less than 50 calories under) AND eating back exercise calories (when I have them). I've been losing…
  • Kind of a newbie to this group still and was a little MIA last week due to a work related training class. But I DO read posts and try to comment here and there. :-) Always open to new friends too :-) (there's my little shout out lol)
  • I'm always open to new friends/motivators/supporters! I'm a great cheerleader on MFP lol. Anyone can feel free to add me at any time!! :-)
  • Hi everyone! My name is Laura and I've been active on MFP for a little more than a month now. SW was 328 - CW 301.5 (hoping to break into the 200's this week!!!). I am currently in a size 24. I am always looking for friends - I am very supportive and try to motivate EVERYONE on my friend list. :-) Feel free to add me!!! :-)
  • Love this!!! Thank you so much for posting these "secrets"! When I'm having a less than successful day, I will look back on these for motivation and inspiration. :-) Again - thank you!!!
  • My friend, who is also a dietician, told me to stick to clear alcohol (white wine, vodka, gin, etc.) and a diet mixer while staying away from eating carbs the day you drink. She told me the body processes the carbs from the alcohol the same way it would carbs from food. I ended up drinking white wine last weekend - only…
  • You look AMAZING! Great job! :-)
