The shirt you wore in the first picture seems prophetic. Great work. Happy trails on the rest of your journey. Keep smiling...you've earned it.

OMG! Huge difference. Congrats.

Way to go! What a huge difference!

Dude! Awesome!

A co-worker asked me today if I had lost weight! Yeah baby!

Great job. That deep dark place known as depression can be a tough hole to crawl out of. Clearly you are doing it. Keep it up and know that your friends on MFP are proud of all your accomplishments on and off the scale. You are an inspiration to more people than you know.

Wow. You wear that shirt so much better now! Congrats.

Good stuff.

I would encourage you to take some gym time off if you are feeling burnt out. Find other alternate activities. Go for a long walk. Do aerobics and body weight exercises at home, but get away from the gym if you are feeling burnt out or a lack of motivation.

This ^^^. Stunning was the first words in my head. Great job. I wish 35lbs off of me looked as impressive as it does on you.

Good point you don't want the Joker to find out who your husband is!

I think it is so important to include exercise. Yes, it IS the deficit that counts for WEIGHT loss, but with exercise (including strength training) you will maintain or even build muscle. While the muscle will put on weight from its mass, it will also help raise your resting metabolic rate. This means you will burn more…

I only use weight as an intermediate measurement of fitness/body composition. My ultimate goals are to lose fat and so my primary and long term measurement of body composition is lean mass to body fat ratio. In other words, in the end I don't care what my weight or BMI are, I just care that I have a healthy lean mass to…

I know the female analog is usually dreaded when losing weight, but for men this is definitely a good thing...My MOOBS are noticeably smaller!

Look into Dr. Robert Huizenga's book, "Where did all the fat go?" He is a weight loss specialist and has done some pretty significant research on fat loss. Where his patients have lost weight (fat) and actually gained (not lost as usually is the case during weight loss in a calorie deficit diet) muscle mass.

One more thing...whatever you do don't beat yourself up over a day or two. Even if it means taking a day or two break completely from exercising. I know this somewhat contradicts my last post, but a day or two break from the grind every once and awhile never hurt anyone. So don't sweat the small stuff.

Are you logging your calorie burn from your work outs? If so are you eating those calories back or sticking to your original calorie goal? I would suggest eating the calories you burn if not. I hate to be the wet towel on the deficit is all that matters for weight loss, but while this is entirely true that deficit is all…

Touche. I should read what I type more closely.

You're welcome to do the hike whenever you want. Or not. I simply invited you. You are welcomed to "relax", but I think I will challenge myself, thank you very much. It's not about guilt for me, it's about meeting my numbers. Not to mention I figure I would burn around 450 cal/hr hiking at an average pace of 3.5mph. At…

Yep. Bully, stalker and harasser. I would tell him his actions are inappropriate and that they make you uncomfortable and he should stop. Document his activities, document your discussion with you. If he says or does one more thing after that take it to your superior along with your documentation. BTW you look great. Any…
