You know. See the above response to the others. There are all sorts of threads here at MFP. If you aren't interested in eating clean, then spare us. The posters query was for people who WANT to eat clean. Maybe you are assuming that everyone on this site is here to lose weight. It is called My FITNESS Pal and some of us…

Why are you here? You obviously aren't looking for friends who eat clean. I don't feel like arguing semantics with somebody who is obviously bored and looking to edumacate everybody in his/her opinion. I don't even give a flip if I am wrong. Wooooohooo somebody on the internet disagrees. Big whoop! I am here to find…

I know exactly what it means. What you failed to comprehend is that my strategy is eating lean, clean and green. Others use strategies such as CICO or fasting.

I failed to mention that I have drastically cut back on sugar and avoid refined sugar. I replace the sugar in my recipes with honey or maple syrup. I also have reduced my sodium intake.

I define clean eating as favoring vegetables, fruits, nuts/seeds and lean proteins raised without hormones. I also replaced dairy with nutmilk products for a host of reasons. I limit processed foods and try to never consume those made with high fructose corn syrup and transfats. I would love to have some friends who are…

I am 5’6”. I went from 192 pounds at my heaviest on April 13, 2017 to 147 pounds today, Nov 5, 2017. I have reached my first goal with nutritious diet and exercise. I’d love to see 135 pounds but that is just a number on the scale. I have never allowed myself to feel deprived and am not going to start that since it isn’t…

You ladies can add me. I log and share my intake. Thanks! A forty six year old just trying to better myself.

I just read your post and I totally relate. I was also a fit kid, teen and young adult. Although I have never been a mother, somewhere in my late thirties I began to struggle. A long ACL/MCL knee adventure was the icing on my cake. It sounds like you have a great plan and I am on this journey along side ya. My strategy is…

It is time for me to wake this sleeping introduction and reintroduce myself, In 2013, with the help of MFP and the motivation of several people in this thread, I managed to succesfully go from 188lbs to 163. I also managed to strenthen and rehabilitate my knee- Yay! I was doing great for a couple years exercising and…

Good for you jackiemae! I am 47 and trying to re-lose weight I lost earlier in my forties while making myself into a stronger fitter version. I have seen some success but need to keep motivated, changin, and pushing. It is hard! I set my calorie intake higher than the last time I used MFP (1800 cal) and surprisingly it has…

Sending you a big hug and commiserating!! I too managed to slim down a few years ago and have found myself back where I started. I have restarted on April 15th of this year. If you want a new friend, I could use one too. I am forty-something and I really am determined to get my nutrition and fitness back in order. I wish…

Congrats!!! 10 weeks of dedication is a huge accomplishment. And the ability to run 30 minutes solid - high five!!

I agree with KiwiAlex. This technique helped me beat shin splints. Here are a couple articles I read that helped me. http://www.runnersworld.com/run-faster/proper-running-form http://www.runnersworld.com/social-studies/11-tips-for-new-runners Hang in there! You can do it!

You asked for a pep talk, well, here's my attempt. You CAN do this! Awesome on you that you didn't just shovel that fudge in without another thought! Weighing is extra work, but think about how powerful you are when you make the choice to do it. Don't quit. It is okay to feel frustrated. As a teacher, I can tell you that…

Not to mention a severe bout of constipation.

I want to be a part of this group. I've roller coasted too long and need to develop healthy fit habits that are life long.

YOU are AWESOME! I have backslid, but I appreciate your inspiring words. This makes sense. I can start living right too. I need to get back to making time for my exercise. Congats to you for living right and enjoying. Thanks for sharing what works.

Although I didn't join the formal challenge until a few days in, I had already been doing a mix of Jillian workouts. I took my weight and measurements this morning and although I haven't really lost much weight, I have lost inches. So I am excited about that. I am going to really try and pour my heart into the second half…
