I'm in the same boat! I decided 100 pounds is less than 10 pounds per month. When you break it down like that it doesn't seem so difficult. Good luck to you!

I've done it a couple times, but have since forgotten how. Play around with your profile settings and you should be able to figure it out.

Last night I was listening to my iPod while on the treadmill. I moved my hands in a way that hit the headphone wires which knocked my iPod down. The timing was perfect. Just as the iPod was falling down my foot was taking it's next step. The two met perfectly and I kicked my iPod about 10 feet in front of me underneath a…

Joined a gym yesterday. Heading there after work today for my first work out in a long long time. Hope I survive!

I don't know the science behind it, but my main argument was that quest bars did not spike my blood sugar. I can't really speak for anyone else. All I can say is that my blood sugar ranged from 250 - 300. After one week of a low calorie diet my blood sugar dropped to around 120. Within 2 weeks it dropped to around 95 and…

I think you can loose with just walking, but don't get too comfortable. After a while speed up or adjust your incline so your body doesn't become to adjusted to the routine.
-
I'm going to have to disagree with you here. My blood sugar was very high (like 300's) so I went on a low calorie diet that involved eating a quest bar every day (some days 2). My blood sugar went to normal levels within a week.

I own two toothbrushes. One is by the sink for in the mornings, and the other is in my shower. I have made it part of my nightly shower.

Absolutely....and I have. I'm overweight so I can't judge. I agree it's all about the person.

I like them a lot and typically eat one every day. I buy a full box of the cookie dough, and then for a variety I'll pick up a few extra of different flavors. I like the Lemon and the Strawberry Cheesecake. They can make a good dessert after dinner. Wish they were cheaper, but they help me stay on my diet so they're worth…

I'm curious to this as well.

I think she means she eats 6 meals per day....not 6 quest bars.
-
Good point!
-
Yeah I was thinking they were a little small for a full meal, but I've certainly tried smaller meal replacement bars in the past.
-
I haven't heard of Quest bars before this. Are they meal replacement bars? They look more like snacks or treats. I'll have to try them.

Thanks for the tips! I think I'll keep coming back to this post for motivation.

Nicely done!

I'd be interested in knowing this too.

Amazing transformation. I'm on a similar journey with almost the same amount of weight to lose. Is there any piece of advise you have, or something on your journey that stood out to you as extremely helpful? You mentioned the resistance training. Anything else that helped you along the way?

Ha that's hilarious!

Lot's of great feedback. I think I just need to do a better job of planning out my meals ahead of time so I eat a little more throughout the day, but I like the fruit/nut suggestions.
-
Thanks, but what if I'm not hungry? I feel like I need to eat the calories even if I'm not hungry, but I've also heard you should not eat after a certain time (or so close to going to bed).

You've got it. Start too much too soon and it's easy to quit all together. What your doing now seems perfect. When that starts becoming easy for you, try adding a little more...but not much.
-
I'm no expert but that sounds like a good work out to me. If you are just starting this workout program than I wouldn't add much more to it.

"weekends are harder for me b/c I'm less scheduled and tend to eat and drink more socially. However, I try to balance it with more exercise. I mean, I know I'm not going to give up going out with friends, so I just earn my cocktails with extra gym time. wink " That's actually great advice Skinnyjeanzbo! Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. It wasn't a great weekend but hopefully I'm back on track today. The steps for losing weight are so easy, so why is it so hard to stay with it? Will power can truly be an enemy. Hopefully today's a good day.

Hey all! So I'm starting my "diet" today...again. It seems like I start it every week! I'm still down about 70 pounds from my highest, but I've still got at least another hundred to go. I've been stuck at my current weight range for a while now; probably like 5 months. Can't seem to get the motivation to get back with it.…

I always felt the same way about the gym, but one day I just decided to do it. It's still a little intimidating walking through the doors, but I found that at the gym people just do their own thing and ignore everybody else. This is what I was hoping for. Everyone is so focused on themselves they really won't pay you any…
