Thanks so much - will take all this on board. May try the Immodium to be on the safe side!

Thanks for making the effort to post this - some useful tips I can try.

This is right - be consistent. No matter how you do it. I tend to crouch as I don't have my contacts in and can hardly see the readout!!

A friend of mine who rides her bike to work uses deodourant wipes when she gets to work. I'm sure you have those in supermarkets there. Great idea to run home tho. Wish I could but it is 30 miles!! lol.

Thanks everyone. I cannot reset it to factory settings as I can't get it recognised on the laptop. I checked out the youtube stuff - thanks but again it won't work cos it doesn't pick it up. I will try to take it into a store but there are not many of those in my part of the U.K. I think for £40 or less I should bite the…

Friend Request me if you like. I am 46!! Lol.

Hi and welcome. A bit of advice - if you want to encourage others to friend request you it would be best to put some information on your profile about you. It's useful to know a bit about someone before you know if you will have anything in common and if you can support and motivate each other. Just saying! Good luck,

Nothing - everything in moderation. That's what this makes MFP sustainable!

Hey I'm 5ft 11.5" and I could NEVER weigh 148lbs. I am 186lbs at the moment. To lose another 38lbs I'd have to cut a leg off! LOL.

Welcome. That sounds like a cool exciting job. Done anything we would have heard? Best of luck and make best use of support from all the members. Alison

This could be plantar faciitis. Causes pain under the foot and in the heel. I am currently suffering with pain in my heel. I have exercises where I stand on the edge of a step and drop my heel down slowly to stretch out the muscles. The muscle that can give you P.F runs along the underside of your foot. Plenty of info on…

"take a view in the morning. If not it's the gym" from my personal trainer commenting on my huge blister - may not be able to run tomorrow!!

Polar. That is all!

I find that even when I run more on a particular route my time does not improve. So I guess I must be a fast walker. I use my HRM to keep my heart rate above 130. I don't think I've answered your question as I've never run more than a 10k but I will watch with interest what everyone else says as I have the Great South in 8…

Definately the HRM would be more accurate. But HRM usually reads less than MFP in my experience.

Lol!

I love the way you take so much time and effort to write these posts - especially as you are a single Dad. Thanks for lifting us all up and getting us to focus on the positive no matter what rubbish life throws at us.

I have just bought Sassoon ceramic straighteners in the U.K at Boots in the sale for £12. So far so good but not sure if they'll last, but for £12 I'm not too bothered if they don't!!

Thanks everyone. I found Basmati rice dry. I weighed the dry rice (120g) and logged that. It was 420 calories - way off what I had originally logged. Good job I checked!
-
I'm in the same boat - sorry don't really know as those last few pounds are SOOOOOO hard to shift!! Good luck.
-
Polar FT7 does not calculate miles tho as it doesn't have GPS. I usually use MapMyRun for that.
-
Me too! Would it be to exercise in the middle of the night? LOL!!
-
Depends what kind of exercise I guess. I try not to run on consecutive days as I sometimes get injured. Maybe you should try a different type of exercise. On the other hand if your body is telling you it's tired it may be a good time to have a rest. Hope you are not coming down with something. Take care. x

Haven't got any pics but I am 5ft 11.5in.

I love running too. Take a look at my profile and if you think we can help each other friend request me. Best of luck!

Hi I have just done this. Could not run fpr 10 days due to injury and put on 1 pound a week for 2 weeks. I then got fed up and didn't log for 3 days last week. I didn't eat well. Felt rough (not to mention guilty!) and am now back on track. Hope I just stay the same this week. Would be interested to know how you get…

Polar FT7 - but no GPS so not great for running if you need to track distance. I just use Map My Run when I get home. Good luck.
