  • Pickles are quite delicious and have few to no calories. Don't know about filling, though.

  • Exactly! I get up at 6, and I get to the gym at 8. (My commute to my gym is an hour). I keep looking at those 7am classes and thinking, one of these days... (but on the other hand, sleep is important too! :) )
  • A) Find some other criteria on which to judge yourself. If someone told you they judge people based solely on how they look, you'd think they were a jerk. Well, that's what you say you are doing when you judge yourself. Stop being a jerk! B) You say that your low self esteem is caused by how uncomfortable you are with how…
  • Thanks for posting this! I think I'm doing fine, and then sometimes I read the forums here and it gets my head spinning with anxieties, which is no good for me at all. Your post is very reassuring.
  • It's really hard to break a habit without replacing it with a different habit. For me, whenever I want to snack, I have retrained myself to reach for the water, first. Then I wait a few, and if I still really want to eat something I do, but I try to make it something healthy, like fruit. (Potato chips are my downfall,…
  • Wow, that's so interesting! Were you taking any meds during that time? To be honest, I find one thing that sort of relieves my symptoms (probably just by distraction) is eating.

  • I sucked it up yesterday, and honestly, being on the eliptical was the best I felt all day. This morning I just couldn't do it. Plus, I had to take a decongestant, and I'm not entirely sure if it's okay to excerise with that. So many things to worry about.

  • Fage 0% Total yogurt keeps me full for several hours, if you like it, maybe have that a couple of times a week. Sometimes I slice up an apple the night before and take it with me, I know a lot of people enjoy peanut or almond butter with their apple slices, but I like mine plain.
  • Congratulations! And very inspiring. :)

  • You didn't decide to lose weight because of what other people thought of you. Changing your weight loss plan because of what other people think ... you are giving them the power over your decision. If you choose not to lose weight to spite them, do you really think they'll notice? I hope that things get better. It sucks…
  • My go-to beer is Red Hook ESB, but my favorite is BlueBird Bitter. Also love Fuller's ESB. Regular old Pale Ale's for me, if there is nothing Bitter on tap. I really don't like hoppy, wheaty, or sweet. Can't really stand flavored beers. Love to try new/regional beers when traveling.
  • mine this morning was Stevie, Jammin'. :)

  • Just curious to know how much water you are drinking. Sometimes I find myself doing what you describe, and it's usually on days when I haven't met my water drinking goal.
  • Fage 0% total greek yogurt. A serving has 100 cals, 0 fat, and 18 grams of protien. Delicious.
