Oops. Double posted on accident and it won't let me delete. :~p

You're on the right track! MFP is a great place for it!! There's a lot of people out there with a very different opinion about things, but I am totally with you. Just be prepared for the hard times and whatever you do DON'T GIVE UP! You got this girl! I have problems with plantar fasciitis, as well, and it is so painful…

Try to find something you love to do. I love to swim, and so I've been going to water aerobics and swimming laps. I love basketball and volleyball so I've been playing with a group of ladies at my church on Tues & Weds. I just can't STAND the treadmill, and ellipticals are evil torcher devices (for me). Now, when I'm…

I feel ya on that one. Try eating a piece of fruit when your having a bad sweet craving and drinking a glass of water. That seems to help me.

I'm with you on the artificial sweeteners. They're disgusting! I bought some Truvia but haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping it is much better, since it's a natural zero calorie sweetener. :~)

It IS pretty AWESOME!! I can definitely taste the difference between cheap chocolate and good chocolate. I've started to get to the point where, if I'm going to indulge, I figure it might as well taste spectacular instead of just ok. :~)

Pay attention to your NET calories. You should be eating at least 1200 NET and I would guess more, unless you sit and watch TV all day and have a truly sedentary lifestyle. Here's a forum post by one of the founders that I find helpful.…

I don't know about the iphone apps, but I got my New Balance HRM w/chest strap at Costco for $39.99. Much more affordable than the Polars and I absolutely LOVE it! The only thing that I can't do with it is the chest strap doesn't transmit under water, so it doesn't work when I'm swimming, but for that price I can live with…

Oh, and I usually get a nose spray like Nasonex when I get sinus infections now. It treats the immediate area without effecting my whole system. Maybe ask for that instead.

DON"T DO IT UNLESS YOUR DYING!!!!-imo I took it for bronchitis, it sent me into major panic attacks and it took me almost a full year to recover and get back to normal. Everybody's different, but I would say don't mess with steroids unless you absolutely have to! Good luck!!

I have been doing water aerobics for a few months now and would love it if my rec center would do aqua zumba! My guess is that you would burn more calories because the water adds resistance. My HRM is water proof, but the chest strap isn't so doesn't transmit if I'm submerged, but if you have an HRM you could try using it…

You can beat this stuff! I detest cancer. It took my mother from me when I was 14 and is now about to take my mother-in-law, most likely in the next month or two. Both of them could have beat it if they would have discovered it sooner. I have two friends who have whipped cancer's butt using the traditional methods and some…

Wow, did I really just type 'mowning'?! Lmbo!!!
-
Yes! Baking it n the oven is the best! I don't cook my bacon any other way anymore!! I don't flip it and do 350 for 20 min, but basically the same idea. I don't even use Pam. I make a big batch and reheat each mowning in the micro.

I'm sure it's possible, but does the size of your clothes really matter that much? You could be a size 2 and anorexic, or a healthy size 6. Maybe you should just wait until you get closer to your goal and see how you feel to worry about what size clothes you want to be wearing, or better yet, don't worry about it and be…

Do you store your scale on it's side? I was having trouble with inconsistent weights on my old scale, bought a new one, and happened to notice that it said in the manual to ALWAYS store it flat. I do so now, and have had no more problems with inconsistent weights. That could be part of the problem. good luck!

Don't forget- Coffee and diet soda counts as WATER!

I'm feelin' ya, girl! I think mine has finally broken now. I may actually have a loss this week for the first time in about a month!! I think mine was more related to my kidney infection and retaining tons of water as a result, but I have tried a few things to try and help. Here's the suggestions I have gotten: Increase…

I really like this analogy!

I have also lost almost 30 lbs and am not really wearing a smaller size yet, depending on the clothes. I think when you've got more to lose, like you and I, it doesn't show up as quickly. I am almost at my first mini-goal which is -10% of my start weight or -32 pounds. I think by the time I get to 40-50 pounds down it will…

Yes, I agree. And at the same time of day.

Sorry Chrystal. :~( You've had a lot on your plate lately. Hang in there and I'm glad that we're still friends and can still support each other despite this.
-
So do you just note it in the comments, or do you actually change your goal settings each day so the calories will show correctly? I have been trying to incorporate this, but it's definitely harder to track it.

It's so frustrating! There are so many conflicting reports I don't know what to believe anymore. Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!

My absolute favorite way to have veggies is ROASTED! Asparagus, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, squash, carrots...almost anything and any combination. Just drizzle with some olive oil, add a little salt and pepper, toss to coat and throw them in the oven on a cookie sheet at around 425 degrees until done. LOVE!

I usually keep a box of 100 calorie ice cream sandwiches in the freezer for a treat. I've also heard really great things about the Skinny Cox truffle bars and I want to try them.

I don't think you're eating enough, chrystal. We weigh about the same and MFP gives me 1810 cals a day plus my exercise cals. No wonder your hungry! Listen to your body. Eat more. I know it's hard to fathom that eating more can help you lose, but if you don't fuel your body then your going to lose muscle mass instead of…

Heart stuff can be scary! Take care of yourself!!! I had problems with my heart racing up to 200+ bpm for no reason since I was a kid. It would just start and then stop just as suddenly. They called it tachycardia I believe. Sudafed and caffeine made it worse. Once they were able to catch it on the Monitors I was referred…

Oh, this sounds so fun! I'm taking 2 dozen deviled eggs to the Easter egg hunt and this will be perfect!! Thanks for the idea. :~)
