I need some advice... I've had an absolutely crazy two weeks, not the least of which was my hubby being out of town, which means with 5 kids the gym wasn't an option. I'm thinking about just starting over on my NROLFW. I was only 6 workouts into it. What do you think? Start over or just pick up where I left off?

I have completed my first two workouts. I LOVE it! I am SO sore today. I think that I may have started out too high for my first deadlifts with 15 lbs on each side. My back muscles are really killing me today. I hate to go down on the weight though. This is great stuff.

Fabulous, girl! Absolutely FABULOSO!!!!

So wonderful!! What a great NSV! It doesn't get much better than things like that!

Best of luck to you! 1200 cals isn't a lot, but remember, MFP has already given you a 1000 cal per day deficit, if your goal is -2 lbs a week, so any exercise calories you earn, you get to EAT! So really you could have much more than 1200 cals a day if you are exercising regularly. Make sure you eat those exercise cals!…

That's interesting, because although I don't get sleepy, I do get FREEZING cold after a hard workout. The only thing that helps is a hot shower. I wonder if it's the same thing, my body just responds in a slightly different way????

I have an HRM that I don't use anymore. It's not a fancy one. Doesn't have a chest strap, but if you are doing a long consistent workout you can still get a good idea of your burn with it. I'll post more info on it in a bit and offer it up to anyone interested.

I got a big bag of whey protein powder from Sam's club. They sell it at Costco too. I add it to oatmeal or make a protein shake with it. It's really hard to balance all the nutrients though. I still struggle with it. I do notice that I do much better when I plan out my day in the morning or the night before.

Completely and totally amazing, Panda!

That's fantastic! I wish there was one closer to me....

I usually have special k protein plus cereal, with some vanilla almond milk and a piece of fruit, or fruit added to the cereal. Or, I have eggs and turkey bacon. An omelette literally takes like 2 minutes to whip up. You can do 1 egg with some egg whites. Hard boiled eggs are nice and portable. I get Jennie-o uncured…

Ha! MY five year old said something similar to me last week. Something to the tune of, "Mom, you have huge bum!" Maybe it's because they are right at bum level at that age. :~) I couldn't really argue with her. I do have a huge bum. :~p Congrats on your pants falling off! :~)

I know exactly what you mean. I wish I could give you the answer. If I could, I guess I'd already be skinny. All I do know is that we gotta keep trying!:ohwell:

Yes, I agree. Water aerobics are probably going to be your best bet!

I wouldn't make it your battle. Serve them a variety of healthy stuff but don't make them eat it. The more you get it in front of them , the better chance they'll eat it. Will they eat fresh fruit? Maybe offer up some fruit with each meal as well as veggies? At least then they are still getting some good nutrients from the…

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!!

I do not have that particular condition, but I did have sudden palpitations since I was a kid. Multiple trips to the ER once I was an adult and it started getting worse and more frequent. Once they caught it on EKG, I went to see a cardiologist who specializes in the electrical signals of the heart. I went in for an…

I've also set a goal to do my first tri, but not until this time next year. I have been swimming laps about 3-4 times a week and just trying to get my endurance up on that and continue to lose weight. I have a lot to lose in the next year to be able to do it. I'd love to help support each other on this journey. If you'd…

Run your car on fumes if you want to run out of gas. Common sense. Don't eat if you want to feel like crap and be unhealthy. Common sense.

:~( I think my scale hates me. Maybe it's mad 'cause I stand my fat butt on it every morning. ;~) Good luck everyone!

Those are questions I hadn't even thought about! I am definitely going to watch and volunteer at some triathlons to get a feel for it. What a great suggestion! Thanks!!

The one I am thinking of is near my home in South Jordan, UT. That could change at this point, but that's what I'm thinking right now. I'll send you a friend request. :~)

I haven't tried it yet, either, but I've heard it's wonderful! All the peanut butter flavor without all the fat and calories. Only 45 cals for 2 Tbls. Most of my friends add it to their oatmeal, protein shakes or just mix it with water and spread it like regular peanut butter. I noticed the website, bellplantation.com, has…

Good luck this week everyone!

I just went to netrition.com and did some calculating. The case price with shipping is about .28 cents per serving. I was going to get a few friends to order 4, 1lb bags of each the chocolate and regular from the sight and split the cost. We would each get 1 bag of each type and it worked out to be .26 cents per serving to…

Bump I'd love to hear a better option. No store carry it where I am

You should think about getting an hrm that works in the water. Mine is waterproof, but the chest strap won't transmit under water so it doesn't work for me. I've heard that the Polar models work great in water, though.
