One thing that helped a LOT was Leslie Sansone walk away the lb videos. Do those at home for a few weeks to build your confidence. The positive is you can do them at home when the weather is bad too and not miss a day.

She does online school because of her rigorous schedule and doesn’t socialize much outide of ballet. But I will ask her friend’s mom who she does see sometimes.

Adding- I have a friend who was in the hospital for Ed years ago. She was very much in love with food and recipes. I was shocked when I discovered it based on how much she talked about food. It was all about control due to her super controlling relationship. Luckily 3 months in the hospital got her back on track.

She does get anxiety attacks that result in dizziness but they have slowed down since I got her some b12. Periods have not been happening since she is at her practice 16 hrs per week plus 1-3 hrs at home most days. I feel like a plant based diet should look much bigger in portions. She has to wear tight clothes because…

I love this idea!

I log it as 3.5mph walking because it averages out about that. I love her videos 💜

No I had my thing set for .5 lbs per week and I was losing about 1/4th lb per week. I was measuring and weighing things. Also I found many “already logged” foods that were incorrect (low) and would then scan in the correct one. Some days I would over estimate what I ate just to be sure, and I never logged my weight lifting…

Thank you for the responses. Last time I was regularly tracking I had extremely slow loss and always wondered if my evening snack was doing it. The calories were always on point and I was very conservative about logging workouts.

If I was doing something dangerous, I would want to know. I can’t risk an injury and time off from the gym to gain more weight! 😬 But subtly so I don’t feel like an idiot. But if the trainer says it’s ok, my reply would have included that knowledge. “My trainer said my form is great, but thanks for your concern”. I don’t…

Making pottery- going to the hot tub with a large bottle of water, meditation, writing in my journal with some coffee, and when I’m pissed off I will lift some heavy weights. 😂 But truth be told, sometimes I just want some trashy reality tv and a glass of dry wine.

I know that I feel energized when I take vitamin d and drink some vitamin c (emergency vitamin) I get super sleepy after eating carb heavy foods. Also “burnout” and overwhelmed. My mind has all kinds of motivation but I can’t bring my body to move. I’m changing that this year. It’s probably also due to lack of proper sleep
-
You’ve got this! Yes, 500 calories is approx what you are giving to the baby daily. It is extra important to eat foods that are vitamin rich so you don’t drain yourself of energy to keep your goals.

Thank you! I am not a newbie but I was mia for quite some time! I took the new year to troubleshoot how my life can practically overcome the things preventing my progress. Coming here for accountability is key!

A little bit of both. I want to be in the middle of “ideal weight” for my height but I will be happy at a size 6. My daughter is getting married this fall so slimming down before I buy a dress would be nice

I’m ready ! Let’s keep accountable

3 mile workout video- too cold to go outside today

3 things First, are you using a food scale? Second, consider the foods that you are eating and ask yourself if they are satisfying foods? I encourage protein and fiber. Last, if you seriously can’t handle it, have 1 day per week that you eat at maintenance (1700 calories based on the number you are giving) Bonus question,…

I usually look up menu and then figure out how much over the selections will put me, then do a workout before going enough to make up the difference and eat guilt free.
-
Is the goal to feel stuffed or satisfied? Is the pizza more important than your goal? Plan what you will eat and log it. If the slices are slightly smaller I personally wouldn’t calculate the difference, I would log the larger number.

Focus on how you are feeling before you start to focus on weight loss/gain. I notice how certain foods and exercise gives me energy or makes me feel like crap.

How is your calorie tracking going?
-
I went on a trip with my husband a year and a half ago with my husband and felt great about my weight loss. I didn’t feel selfconsious about it at all. I’m going in 3 months and hope to lose 10-15 lbs before that so I am at the same or 5# lower. Obviously I have many other reasons to feel fit and energy etc but this one…

The nice thing about calories in- calories out is, if you get a sudden craving for something and it will put you over the edge, figure out how many calories it will be and workout to burn enough. Also, you can find easy fast ways to alter the calories in an item with small substitutions (Greek yogurt instead of sour cream,…

How did you push through the pain with workouts? I lost 30 lbs with exercise and calorie tracking, I have 15 more to go, but my back pain has caused me to stop. I have gained a few lbs back but it has maintained there for a while . I enjoyed working out, and my pain is my enemy.
-
I found that if I was to plan an outing with my husband and knew I would eat 700+ calories in the meal, I would do a 400+ calorie burn workout and enjoy guilt free. Remember, eating at a weight loss number every day is great, but if you eat at maintenance once in a while it should not cause you to gain weigh.

Why not just ask her to join mfp? Talk about how fun it is and hoe you can keep each other on track? That way she will eventually find the information on here

You are so driven! What's your next life goal now that you literally lost half of you!

Here is where it believe everyone is getting concerned - they believe we do not have "toxins" to "cleanse" but doing a juice fast I believe has some benefits... not to cleanse but to re set your body. Here are the keys that are important - think of it like an elimination diet, you are eliminating everything from your…

I agree ♥️ that is part of why I think it's silly to say "12 is normal/ common". Size is not my goal or my hang up, but average woman size seems to be an excuse to be a size 12-14.
-
The idea that Size 12 is the average sized woman , so that must make it ok. (As a former size 12-14) is something I disagree with. I am currently a size 8 and know that my weight for height is actually on the high end of the healthy weight range.
