I will join the challenge. It will be just over 8 week. I am 226.8, I think, and 5'8". I would like to be down 12 pounds by Oct. 31.

I needed this tonight. After having a good day, I had problems in the evening.

I joined at the beginning of May. So far I have lost 22.5 lbs. I do my own breakfasts, as I found several of them were not filling enough. I got stuck through July, but am back on track. I have not figured out how to join this group yet, but I a looking.

No, it is not too late to join. It is just for fun. Sorry I did not do a challenge last week. I have a very old cat who decided to not feel too good. Okay, challenge for Sunday June 21 to Saturday June 28. Walk dogs for 4 times this week, for a minimum of 25 minutes. During the walks, do 3 sits, 1 sit/stay and 1 come.

First posting. For week Jun 8 to 14, I walked 22764 steps, 14.06 miles for an average of 2.08 miles a day. June goals, walk at least 5000 steps per day.

I do not like it and tell my friends and relatives that weight is a sensitive subject to me and I would prefer not to discuss it. That usually shuts them up. :)

OK, I did not do the first challenge. No walks for dogs. No new place. Too hot and I get up too late to take advantage of the early morning coolness. So, new challenge: walk your regular walk backwards. This stimulates the dog's brain. It is surprising how set dogs can get, doing the same route over and over again. We had…

OK, since no one has put in a challenge, I will. From Sunday May 31 to Saturday Jun 6, walk your dog 4 times for a minimum of 20 minutes. One time must be in a park or scenic walk or route that you have not gone to before.

I enjoy the regular circuit. I seem to find it hard to get to Curves when they are having a class. Part of the problem is that they have most of them early in the morning. I am retired, so I do not get up early.

I would like to do it too. My poor dogs do not get out as much as they should. I also use Map My Dog Walk on my iPad.

There is a bunch of illnesses this could be. You need to see a Doctor to get a diagnosis.
-
Give them the name of your Doctor, and tell them to go talk to him/her, as it is by his advise you are doing this. Ask them if they want you to die early or live in pain because you have a chronic disease. That should shut them up.

I have a scale on the counter. If you do not weigh your food, it is too easy to add a bit here and there. Then you cannot figure out why you did not lose that week. I live with my Mother, who is also trying to lose weight, so I have no reason to hide it.

Yes, I would like to do one. I use Map My Dog walk on my iPad, every time I take them out.

You could try chair exercises. If you check YouTube and search for chair exercises, there are a number of videos to choose.

We moved in October. We still have unpacked boxes. We got to the stage where we are comfortable and stopped. I have been working at getting the books unpacked and on bookshelves, partly because I am looking for a certain book. Have not found it yet.

Maybe try adding the food to MFP first, before you eat it. Then take a good look at the calories and your selections. It may help you reconsider eating the food. Also, try going for a walk, to get away from the food. When you come home brush your teeth. Reconsider the food and calories, then finally eat or not eat. This is…

I have a cat that is 20 1/2. He will probably outlive me. He is in excellent health. I just adopted a 1 1/2 year old female cat. She came with the name Mama Mia. I don't like that so I changed it to Gracie. She is a bit timid, so she is hiding in a corner. She is starting to come out a bit.

Actually, Mythbusters busted the idea that high protein diets cause gas. It is probably the broccoli. It is a very gassy vegetable.

I will send you a message in the morning (Pacific Time), to remind you to get off the couch, if you remind me to do the same.

You can always ask them why your weight loss is a threat to them.

I quit reading it if I am not enjoying a book. I may skim through it to find out what happens and how it ends. I don't have enough time to read what I really enjoy to waste time reading something I do not.

I was diagnosed in 1991 with hyperthyroidism. I had gone to my doctor several times during 1990, seeing locums each time, saying I was not feeling well, there was something wrong: I could not sleep, I was irritable, restless, weak, hot, not feeling myself. The 2 different locums told me it was a virus and I would get over…

Do not tell him. Get support from others, who will support you rather than sabotage you.

I also think weekly. If I do not have to post regularly, I will start missing days here and there.
-
I report them as fast as I find them. Maybe we need one of those alpha numeric spam blocking boxes before you can get an account here. That might stop some of it.

Take some swimming lessons. My local pool has a special class for adults who are afraid of the water.

Started at 266. Down just 6, Will make it eventually.

You can try wrapping thin sliced ham or turkey around vegetable spears: asparagus, cucumber, celery
