Take up knitting. You have to keep your hands clean to not get your yarn dirty. If you get a craving, do another row or two first. By then you may have forgotten the urge.

I have a rehab fitness program in the pool that I do. It is deep water, so I have to keep moving to stay afloat. We wear flotation belts. We work on abs, core and extremity muscles. I take it for severe depression. I will probably be on it for life. I did not have any side effects, except for a stabilization of my mood. I did not lose weight on it. I did become more active.

Yesterday, June 1, I got 10,848 steps. Today, June 2, I got 7648, so I am on track for averaging 8,000 steps a day. I also did a Curves workout yesterday and a Curves Body Basic with extras today.

I do not measure miles or minutes. I measure steps. I am going for 8000 steps a day.

Bran-buds or Fibre-one every day for breakfast. I was like you, 1 bowel movement every 4 to 5 days. Started with the high fibre cereal in the morning and I already drank a lot of water. Now I am regular and go every day and sometimes twice. I cannot say enough good things about getting enough fibre.

I have the Fitbit surge. I get blister like sores on my wrist, then the skin peels off. The area also hurts. To stop this, I have to take it off several times a day and wash the area and the band, and thoroughly dry both skin and strap.

You should not have to break in shoes. If you do, it is because the shoes are too small.

I turned the show off when the guy put a slab of butter in his coffee in the premier episode. YUCK. I would like to see the participants in 18 months. See who had kept the weight off and was still following the diet. Of course, TV does not follow people that far. It is 12 weeks and they are done.

Track everything by weighing and measuring. Track your food before you eat it. When you see what the calorie count is, you may change you mind about what you want to eat. Add some exercise. Drink water. Make and follow a plan for weight loss. By following your plan, you will lose. It will be hard, but it will be worth it.

Depending on what country you live in, Weight Watchers bread is 50 calories a slice. I live in Canada, and can buy a whole grain, quinoa bread made by WW. It also lasts a long time without going moldy. I occasionally have 1 slice with 1 T (50 cal) double fruit jam for a snack. Works out to about 100 calories.

I am aiming for 10,000 steps a day. In the evening I check how many steps I have left to do. I march in front of the TV. The TV takes my mind off what I am doing. I usually watch PBS (USA) or Knowledge Network (BC, Canada), so there are no commercial breaks. Tonight I got in 2500 steps in 20 minutes to reach 10,000.

Did OK with the sugars. Nothing extra, outside of the JC food I eat. Only one more day for the sugars, before going on to the jumping jacks.

Thursday truth. I have gained 9.4 pounds in 2 weeks. I have been emotional eating. I won't go into why. I have been giving away my power, and allowing someone else to make me feel bad. I have to change the way I react to the emotions, so I can take back my power.
