I had shin splints about 2 months ago, took about 3 weeks to go away. At the time I was running outdoors 5-6 days a week. I scaled it back to 2 times a week on a treadmill, but still went for 3 mile walks almost daily.

I have been stuck myself for almost 3 months since i quit smoking. Last 3-4 weeks I have been doing strength training at the gym and drinking whey protein shakes, 1 in the morning and 1 after a workout. That hasnt helped me, I'm going to give it another week and move on to something else. From reading these 3 pages on this…

True, but imo you should have a day where you eat and drink what you want.

I'm not a big fan of water. If I work out I usually drink 8-10 cups that day. On days I dont work out I have my plain green tea in the morning, 12oz cup of water with my lunch, and about 16oz with dinner.

Before MFP I would drink Fri and Sat, Sundays too during football season. Now I only drink on Sat and since I lost 67lbs, yes I get drunker faster while consuming less alcohol.

I wouldnt stress over 1600 calories or call that binging. Ever since I started MFP I have pigged out every Sat, ate and drank what I want as much as I want.
