I started doing 5K runs about 5 months ago and have found that I have gotten a little faster. However, I am a slower runner. I will run the full 5K where I see many people walking then running much faster than I do. I guess I prefer to keep a steady pace throughout the entire run. That's what has worked for me anyway :).…

the only one i experienced is the yukky oily stuff that comes out when you go to the bathroom. i found it to be bad only when i ate very fatty foods. i mean when you could actually see the greasiness in your food. yes, it is a really gross side effect and you have to be prepared for it, but i took it a couple of years ago…

I'm not in to the whole zantrex or any energy pills, but I did lose 15 lbs with alli. Yes, it has a terrible side effect, but it helped me to eat a diet with very low fat.

Welcome to Myfitnesspal!! I very much enjoy the site as well as the app! You'll find pretty much everything you eat in the database, I have. It really helps to be able to actually track exactly what you are eating. Just try to stay motivated. Start out with short workouts and work your way up and watch your calories.

Way to go!! I have felt frustrated at times and I have come to realize that no matter how much weight I have lost, I am so much more healthy than I was. I just ran a 5K and I never in a million years thought that I could be a "runner". Like you I just feel better. That's what is important!!

Yeah, maybe I'm just being too impatient. It's just that I have never been so active before. I thought for sure that the running would make a huge difference because I've never been a runner. Thanks all for your thoughts.

Nuts are a good snack for in between meals.

I would say no more than once a week. I know it's hard to wait that long, but that's how I do it and get excited about seeing a result. Makes it worth the wait.
