I'm curious what people will reply. I've heard so many different things! I got my values from the keto calculator: http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com/

For me, the coconut oil jar keeps leaving oily rings on my granite kitchen counter tops, no matter how much I wipe down the jar or the counter. I've just kept it permanently wrapped in paper towels to avoid this. I guess that would also be the problem with living somewhere that coconut oil is liquid at room temperature.

Your list should be a sticky in the announcements sections, how do we make it happen?

You'll probably get more info on the keto boards. For me personally, the lower my carb grams, the easier it is for me to control sugar and carb. If I start taking even 5 grams more, the cravings start gnawing at me. But it's entirely a personal choice. Some people can get into nutritional ketosis with more, some need less.…

Oh, forgot to mention, I did this too. I actually got a giant box, put everything that didn't fit my new lifestyle in it and gave it away to someone who needed food.
-
It's just chit-chat... you can see people when you're done with your workout and before you start.
-
@pipsqueak12 If you're flat when you're standing up and "you can't really pinch much of anything when relaxed", you're probably OK. If you're REALLY concerned buy a caliper and do a skin-fold test. Although people have been saying it's also not very accurate. You HAVE SKIN over your stomach. It's like wearing stretchy…

A really bulked up guy once told me at the gym to have a coke or something with sugar and caffeine before going to the gym, apparently it would give me more energy. I imagine people that rely heavily on glucose for energy probably can't have a very long workout without replenishing their glucose levels every so often. I…

Well, if you're waking up with nausea often, I'd start with a pregnancy test.

@activefatgirl How did you finally say.. Enough is Enough! When I reached 215lbs at 27 yrs old, I said, am I going to reach 300 by the time I'm 30, or am I going to be HEALTHY and FIT by the time I'm 30. How did you change all your unhealthy eating habits to your current healthy eating? It was SLOW. Started counting…

I picked a range (for me 120-135lbs), that is within a healthy BMI (nothing too extreme) and referenced what I've weighed in the past. I'll reevaluate further down the road. I may arrive at my goal weight and then focus on lower BMI, increasing LBM and body recomposition.

Water and dry spices.

@husseycd I did this too... it's been a year :) Once I quit I really didn't see the point of starting up again. I'll have maybe ONE drink every 1-2 months, if I'm in the mood. But it's a drastic change from what I was doing before. I was only a social drinker, but the "social" activities were every other day!!! I just cut…

@DWQuinn60681 People tend to be negative. If you're healthy and happy ignore them, they'll get used to seeing the new you, and if they don't who cares. It happens A LOT. Congrats on your weight loss!

@gvrbabygirl this post is from July, but I'm curious if @missliv85 1) actually went through with it, b) if she was already keto-adapted and 3) what was the result.
-
OMG... people are taking this too literally. It was an EXAMPLE, that for the price of a pizza or a kfc bucket, you can go to the supermarket and get MORE food than what you paid for at fast food places.
-
"Test out" what you're gonna eat the next day. Every night, I input a couple food options until I hit my macros and my calories. You'll get better at it... trust me.
-
I've seen 3 in 5 minutes. Leave me alone.
-
@arielnorth I like it, I'd rather have two big meals than 5-6 snacks. Just like you said, having to think about food all day long was such a pain for me. And the later I started eating the less hungry I got, so that's why I've been doing it, for almost a year now. I do 16:8, eat at night.
-
They're standard abbreviations on MFP (aka My Fitness Pal) if you don't know what they mean, there's always Google, or just ask again.
-
I "test out" menus before eating them. Every night I input a few options until I hit all my macros. it's a little extra work but I'm SO bad at guess-timating them. And also, I try to make all my meals "macro-balanced" instead of trying to make up for them at the end of the day.

Now you're just stalking me on all previous posts? It's not sugar fear-mongering. It's an opinion, she can choose not to follow it...
-
Yup, did that... it was ridiculous. People are flagging others that don't share their opinion.
-
I dunno, people are flag-happy lately, it's happened to me too. If OP wants to know what TDEE is, it's a google search away. Typing "deficit" and knowing what 999tiger was referring to would be harder. So, I clarified, no need to do all the work for him :)
-
Seriously... flagged three times for sharing my opinion and sharing some links? People seem trigger happy.
-
Technically, that would be low sodium/potassium making you feel bad. But, if you don't want to drink a drop of water for the rest of your life, that's really your choice, good luck with that...
-
@myheartsabattleground Useful link! Is there also a way to see WHERE you've been flagged? Because I honestly have no idea where it could have been.
-
TDEE - 20% deficit = what you should be eating. It's a general guideline for healthy weight loss.
-
f/27 50 pounds to go.
