Pull a Ron Swanson. "I'm sorry, I can't hear hippies."

I eat over 2-3 times a week, under the other days. I love the weekly nutrition feature, to make sure everything's evening out.

If you do a quick forum search you'll find a lot of threads on this topic. Very controversial, pops up a few times a week. Then maybe friend or PM people who actually said they use/d it. I think there's a group too.

Online there's schoola.com, 40% of proceeds go to the school of your choice.

Just do little switches. Use turkey dogs instead of regular hot dogs. Use turkey sausage for breakfast. I love Hormel Turkey Chili if you go for the canned stuff. My husband made his own dough and made us all personal pizza last night, it totally stayed within my calories and macros. My son is minorly special needs, part…

I used to, the last time I was on here (fell apart in maintenance) but then realized I turned down healthy snacks in favor of the cough drops and that weirded me out. If I am sick enough to need meds I probably am not accurate in my counting anyway.

Stats? Current weight, height? Current calorie goal? Have you been tracking inches?
-
That's awesome! Great update. Take photos along the way to keep your motivation later.

My son hates vegetables too, and my daughter doesn't like "crunch" (like raw carrots). If you do tortillas, try the spinach kind. I also like to put puréed veg into batter, like pancakes; and I buy the pasta that is made with tomato, carrot, squash purée etc. it's not the best changes in the world but it's small steps.

I bring them to work for lunch, it helps me say "No" to the office fast food pool of I am not hungry when they start debating the merits of BK Whoppers vs. Arby's Roast Beef. I had to find a brand I liked before I settled on this solution. I still eat out with the office once in a while, but it's on my terms.

"Whether you say you can or you can't, you are always right." ~What my mom used to tell us when we despaired over school things. She probably got it from a book. It's a true thing though, what you think is ultimately most of the battle.

I don't like nuts or fish, I eat meat sparingly and I have eggs and yogurt daily. It's hard to hit the protein macro every day so sometimes I make a shake. If it fits your life and goals then go for it. If it doesn't then don't.
-
I ordered one box. Planning how I can mix them in my protein shakes once they arrive. I won't spend my life without cookies so now is the time for me to learn how to incorporate them in non-bingo ways.
-
Do you have a blender? Ice, yogurt, protein powder and a little milk = a milkshake with less guilt. ETA I realize this is probably a troll post. (50 oz milkshake really?) I know that there will be future MFP lurkers who do a search on "milkshake" and are looking for help. Enough repetitions in the forums may result in them…

I have a heated water bed. It is amazing! That said it doesn't do me any good in the office when the men turn the heater down to 68/69 F because "We're so hot".

It sounds like you did it right. However, I am also 5'6", currently 220. I eat 1500 as it's working for me so far (started at 225 a couple weeks ago). I'd like to lose faster but I know I can't sustain 1200 a day for very long, and I don't want to risk a binge. Best of luck on your journey!

My MFP changed my goal today too, I had to manually reset it back (grumble grumble).
-
People will ask for stats: sex, height, current weight, goal weight, age, how you measure (do you use a scale?), how many exercise calories you eat back.
-
This is how I felt after I lost weight last time. I'd rather be too hot than too cold, and when I'm thin I am too cold. Guess I will just have to turn up the heater this time!
-
You have lost pant sizes but the scale isn't moving? For me, the pant sizes would be good enough. Are you sure the scale isn't broken?

My thought on overeating days? I'm not going to spend my life avoiding Thanksgiving, birthdays and the Super Bowl. So I need to learn how to have a "non-diet" day once in a while without it completely derailing myself. This is a time of retraining, not just a time of restrictive dieting.

I lost ~40 pounds while on Depo for 4 years. I went off it in late 2014 and have gained those pounds all back, along with all the aggravation that comes with PMS suddenly hitting again after my blessed break. All hormones do different things to different people. But I'm ultimately responsible for eating 4000+ calories a…

Steak, potato and veggies. That was my staple dinner the months I was gluten free.

The trick that works with me, if I am paying attention, is to cut it in half and eliminate the part I don't want. Get a coworker to split the candy bar. Throw half a donut in the garbage before taking a bite of the goodness. I checked into a hotel and was given a cookie, I pulled off a bite and threw the rest away...before…

If it fits your calories it's not a splurge...1200 calories is 6-8 slices of pizza, last I checked. Depending on the pizza, of course.

Would you mind unlocking your diary? Could help with advice.

I fast once a month for religious reasons. Many people fast 2-3 meals without a problem, just have a long break between whiles. Pick a quiet day you don't have a lot of activity planned. Spend it reading and praying or meditating. Log in your water and don't be afraid to change your mind and eat something if you feel…

I thought the same thing! I have a ten year old and if she had her period now I'd cry. Hoping I have a few years before that happens.
-
Well initial weight loss has a lot to do with water weight percentages. Give it time.

I play at the park with the kids. It may be in a kids' park but it's still running, body weight stuff. And fun! The hard part is this time of year when it's -2* outside. Squats with a kid on my shoulders only does so much.
