When within 25 pounds of goal, one should aim for .5 pound/loss a week. It will be very slow. It will be frustrating. But given time it will work.

You pulled a muscle. Muscle injuries involve retaining water for repair. You aren't going into starvation mode on 2300/day, you also aren't building a pound of fat a day on that count. Have you kept up on water intake as you've reduced your exercise?

Aw man I am sorry! It'll pass eventually. Find something to keep you busy, like a walk or jog or get a friend and go to a museum. Make a poster of his face and throw darts at it. Listen to your favorite music and just keep busy.

Congrats on the new little one! So, this is my breakfast today; it's full of work coffee and so forth. However. I will have a can of Coke Zero this afternoon. I have cut down from a Big Gulp to a can a day, and have no plans to cut further at this point. If it fits and helps you reach goals then go for it!

When I am 100% certain of my logging and see I have 300 calories, I treat myself to a blended ice cream shake with added vanilla protein. I log and eat around 10% of the burn MFP gives me. This is enough for a lite snack after. I am overall sedentary and manually set my daily goal to 1500/day. I am losing steadily at 1.5-2 lbs/week so it's working for me. If I was losing more I'd bump it up to 25% eating back.

@heathermckaye351 how tall are you? 1430 isn't going to be too much but it may not be as much as you could eat.

I know money is an issue but is there any possibility you could go to a hair stylist and ask for help? For the confidence to leave the house, at least. I lost a little hair a few years ago, went to a stylist and she helped me feel a lot better about it. It started growing back a good 8 months later.

You know it's coming. Eat under goal around 100~ calories/ day, this will give you an extra 700-ish weekly deficit to absorb the extra calories at the buffet. Then go eat, drink water and enjoy! And don't derail the next day!

I love buffets! I start out by saving the lion's share of calories for that meal. Then I start the meal with a salad and drink water. Then one plate of whatever I want!
