I need friends... I have like 2. It's quite sad, actually.

I'm practicing IF. I eat lunch, a snack, and then dinner. My eating window is between 1pm and 9pm. So far so good. I work out fasted because that time works best for me. I haven't noticed anything weird with my body and I hope it stays that way since I really like IF!

I don't work from home but I have 2 jobs and work 7 days a week while in school. I'm a Data Analyst so I sit most of the day unless I have a meeting, but that's just another place to sit...with other people.

What? No thread for the 'Married and Looking'?

My coworker just sent me a recipe for Cauliflower Fried Rice . It looks super easy and worth a try!

I only spent A FEW hours on the MFP forums.

...when I could see my collarbone again. I don't know why that is so important to me, but it is!

I don't have a favorite, but I really like a good Cab.

I have nothing helpful to add other than to say that's hilarious. I would be furious.

Monday: 60min of cardio (elliptical or treadmill) OR go for a walk; Tuesday thru Friday: weight training for about 30 min then 60 min of cardio. Sat/Sun: rest days. According to the machines I burn about 400 calories, but I'm planning on getting a heart rate monitor for more accuracy.

Ha. I own two of these. Love them! I like that it holds your boobs in place without squishing them flat against the body.

I do!!! Well then my dinner is in celebration of that!

After all these meals I feel lame adding 'Cereal' to the list. But yeah, cereal. Vanilla Almond Crunch (I think that's the name)...its from Trader Joe's. Lol. Yum!

LOL.

Meal prep. I work 7 days a week and sometimes I just don't feel like doing it. If I don't meal prep then I wake up with no lunch and then my choices are to: 1) Cook lunch and get to work later than I would like; 2) Not eat anything until I get home (but then I have a hard time eating enough calories); 3) Eat out - which I…

LOL. This made me laugh. But to answer your question, I do. Not just on men - women, too. *shrug* I don't discriminate!

I do the same. I work in a small department with two other women that guys ALWAYS hit on. It can be pretty discouraging on some days. If I'm honest, sometimes I'm like, "Whatever, I'm awesome". Other times I'm like, "This must be what the Hulk feels like". It's strange because I know I'm not that much bigger than them, but…

I am not new to trying to lose weight, and what I have learned is this: Don't punish yourself. Once upon a time, I used to deprive myself of sweets (which I love dearly) because I thought they were "bad" or "made you fat" or whatever else. Needless to say, I was unable to stick to any eating plan I made because I wasn't…

I've been reading this thread since it started and I have learned more about diet, exercise, and fitness here than I have in (and I'm pretty sure about this) MY WHOLE LIFE. This...is either really bad or really good. But thanks to the MFP community for the knowledge dump.

Hmm... so then I shouldn't buy the detox stuff people try to sell me on my Instagram feed? WHY IS NOTHING EASY?!
-
Yes! Thank you guys! It just 'clicked'. :-)

Ahh. Thanks. I think I get it. Now, I have a follow-up question that might be dumb: The amount of rice I eat cooked has the same amount of calories as the same amout of dry rice? (Assuming I'm cooking the rice in water, I know some people like to use other liquids like chicken broth or something) i.e. 10 grams of cooked…

I've read this whole thread and I'm still a little confused on the rice issue specifically. I JUST bought a food scale, so of course I'm super excited about using it (yay!). I usually make rice for myself and my husband. With that said, if I'm weighing the rice dry, then what do I do once the rice is cooked if I am not…

This. If MFP says to eat 1500 calories according to your weight loss goals, the 1500 is already at a deficit designed to help you lose the weight according to the goal you specified. Example: 1500 cals 300 cals from breakfast 400 cals burned from working out. 1500 (your allotted calories) - 300 (from your yummy breakfast)…

Is that Diamond Dallas Page Yoga? My husband is a HUGE wrestling fan and had been talking about trying it. I've read that lots of people have had success with it and we're able to drop weight. I'd be interested to hear how you like it. As an aside, I work out in a fasted state. I've read that it burns more fat and…

I still buy bagged salad....just like I still eat at Chipotle. Short lines, ftw!!

My husband is the same way. I agree with other commenters that you can't force change and to definitely keep focusing on you. However, I want to add... BE PATIENT. Recently my husband has been getting up going to the gym with me 4-5 times a week. I had to check if pigs were flying yet. I don't know what changed his mind,…

In my opinion, I think it's perfectly okay (in moderation)! However, I don't do cheat meals.... I do CHEAT DESSERTS! And yes, I love using the word CHEAT because I feel like I'm getting something awesomely bad and still losing weight. After a week of working out and intermittent fasting, I maintain my "healthy" eating into…
