How badly do *you* want it? Not very, apparently.

It's total quackery for now. While it's an interesting idea that one's individual nutritional needs could have something to do with their blood type, there have been no scientific studies done to investigate that idea.

I've worked entirely from my home for several years now. I very strictly limit myself to three meals a day -- breakfast, lunch and dinner, with nothing in between, i.e., no snacks at all. For fitness, I go to a fitness gym a few times a week.

You said it. Yes, fast. And get regular exercise.
-
I usually say, "Thanks but no, I watch my calories like a hawk."

Return to the path that got you from 234 pounds to 156.3.

I really don't know how many calories I eat per day -- I don't keep track. I'm on a well regulated diet, and if I stick strictly to it I lose weight. I don't even have to think much about it. This week I'm down about a pound, and since I'm now trying to maintain my weight, next week I can have a few extra things.

Ask yourself what you could be doing besides eating, and that do that.

Do this and you *will* lose weight: 1) Eat mostly to get the nutrition your body needs, and less for enjoyment. Establish a healthful diet and learn to enjoy healthful foods, and make eating less a part of your life. 2) Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That's it. No snacks, and no "in between" meals. 3)…

For OP -- You may have some bad stuff in your gut microbiome. Get approval from your doctor first, but consider taking a course of an antibiotic, say amoxycillin, to clean out your microbiome. Then regenerate it by eating just a normal healthful diet - whole grains, veggies, fruit, dairy, a little non-red meat, etc. Stop…

I'm very suspicious of the concept of eating more to lose weight. One way or another, to lose weight you need to maintain a running average calorie deficit. If eating more will help you to avoid binge eating, then maybe eating more will help you to achieve an overall calorie deficit. Or, if you feel listless and have a…

If you're having few symptoms, I wouldn't worry about it. A few years ago I went off prednisone cold turkey, against my doctor's advice, and yes, I was shakey for a day or so. But that was it.

Losing 5 pounds per week is an extremely ambitious goal. It will require your total dedication, six hours or more of fitness exercises daily and about a 1200 calorie per day rigidly controlled diet -- all portions weighed on a scale and calories calculated, not guessed at.
-
To lose 3 1/4 pounds per week is doable, but it will take a lot of very serious work. Perhaps four hours per day of fitness exercises and about a 1400 calorie a day strictly controlled diet. Here's my advice on the diet part: 1) Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That's it. No snacks, and no "in between"…

You could sprinkle on, say, a pinch (1/16 tsp., about 6% DV) of salt onto something in each of your meals. BUT -- you might check if you have any symptoms of low blood sodium. A low blood sodium level, even as low as 125 mmol/L, can be meaningless if you don't have any symptoms. ALSO -- low blood sodium can be caused by…

You look just fine. You do not need to lose any more weight. Weigh yourself tomorrow morning before breakfast and make that your "maintenance weight". Draw the line in the sand and resolve firmly to stay at that weight, no matter how much one side of your mind might fight you about it.
-
If you want to keep the weight you lost off, you'll need to establish a "new normal".

Your diet is pretty unusual, but offhand I would say you're just fine. As long as you feel good and don't feel tired, weak or run-down, I wouldn't worry too much. Remember, over our millions of years of evolution our bodies have adapted to a great many things. With your variety of diets, your microbiome and digestive…

I weigh myself every day. If I see my weight trending upwards, I eat a little less for a few days. And conversely if my weight trends down I add a few extra calories. This is very easy to do, since I have a very well regulated diet and if only takes a two or three days to see how my weight is trending.

Yes, it's doable. But it will take very serious work. As a rough guess, 3 1/2 to 4 hours per day of fitness exercises and around a 1400 calorie per day diet, to lose weight that fast healthfully.

Losing 2.2 pounds per week is very doable, but it will take serious work to do it healthfully -- around 3 or 4 hours of exercise and a diet of (as a rough estimate) 1400 calories per day.

Six inches tall and 196 pounds? That would mean he has a BMI of 3827 !! Definitely very obese! Seriously though, at six *feet" and 196 pounds, he is overweight but not obese. But it's his choice, and continuing to yap at him about his weight is not going to help your relationship with him. But, are you sure you want to be…

What does "DIET" mean to me? It's my normal way of eating.

Have you had flat feet all of your life? If so, your pain may result from your running posture, and not your flat feet. My feet are also flat and running became very painful for me. Nothing, including molded arch supports, helped until I read Christopher McDougall's book, "Born to Run". When I adopted the running posture…

I think you may need to look way beyond your diet for the source of your problems. Figure out what's causing you to be depressed or stressed out. If your job is too stressful or is totally unfulfilling and boring, find a different kind of job, or embark on a completely new kind of career. If your environment is too hectic…

I've never tried intermittent fasting, but I've read from what I consider very reliable sources that it has all sorts of benefits besides just weight loss. Just ignore the criticisms, or for overweight people who criticize you, you might look them eye, then look up and down at their body, raise an eyebrow, smile, and walk…
