  • question. did you set your calorie goal yourself? i'm almost wondering if that might be a bit too low? but idk... If MFP figured that for you then I guess its okay ...afterall, you are only 100 below my goal of 1200 and MFP set that for me!! It's always a big debate on the forum as to eat or not eat your exercise calories.…
  • NO!! not at all!! but if you were going over by 100 or more that would be a different story! MFP has that goal set kinda low for women...I think only 20 or 25%, but you can go in and manually bump it up to 30% if seeing 'red' in that category bumbs you out. I had to do that. Protein and Fiber are your friends!!
  • I've actually gone into my "settings" and increased my protein intake from what MFP set me up with. They had me at 20% protein and I bumped it to 30%. When I was at what MFP set up I found I was hungry ALL THE TIME during the day, and with the higher limit for myself NOW, I'm not. I've made it a personal goal for myself to…

  • Mine was like this (pre MFP): My Daily Goal: Calories - 1290 Carbs - 161 Fat - 43 Protein - 65 Sodium - 2500 Cholesterol- 300 Typical Calories Consumed (mock day) Calories - 7,549 Carbs - 1,100 Fat - 287 Protein - 103 Sodium - 6,918 Cholesterol - 270 I was eating 6,259 OVER my healthy recommended calorie goal!!!! I weighed…
  • I weighed in at 250 and wore a size 22/24 comfortably on a good day, not so comfortably on a bad bloat day. BUT!! there is hope to get around that "inbetween" size syndrome. When I was pregnant with my third the thought of going out to buy a new wardrobe was a nightmare, so I invested in a couple "Bella Bands". They are…
  • Are you eating at a nice sit down restaurant? a buffet style restaurant? or a fast food joint? You'll be surprised at how well you can handle yourself in these kinds of situations...especially if you are 100% committed to staying on track. It would be wise just to browse through the food database and just click on foods to…
  • That's EXACTLY how I plan to use it!! I stuggle so bad with keeping my protein up to where it needs to be along with keeping sodium and carbs down. Some days I need the boost, and there's just some days I am so on the go that I don't have a full half hour to devote to meal prep and cooking...expessially since I am the only…
  • I would have to agree...not a good idea. You NEED your fruits and veggies!!
  • well? If you're balls to the wall serious about weight loss and a healthy lifestyle, you'll give up the weekend drinking. If it's just something you're not willing to sacrifice, then I'd need to get used to only drinking those Mgd 64 beers. But realistically? which do you want more? a healthy weight or a party? cuz in my…
  • Ace bandages, duct tape and spanx. LOL.. I would say I'm only joking, but if I ever get to that point, don't think I won't try it!
  • Honestly...and it may be just me and I know I've only been here a little over a month, but I don't think it's right to only eat when you're hungry. My weight gain was due to only eating when I was hungry which was maybe twice a day, if that...it was even healthy food, but it didn't matter. My metabolism became virtually…
  • Same here!! I cut it out completely and it was easier than I thought it would be. Had just a couple headaches from the withdrawl (because I would drink like 6 cans, or equivalent to that, in one day), but Exedrine nipped that in the bud fairly quick and I have at least a cup of coffee in the morning before I start anything…
  • Love peanut butter in bananas!! Here's something I did a lot with my kids, but I've never really measured anything to know what the calorie intake would be...i didn't give a *kitten* back then...lol. You melt the peanutbutter in a microwave safe bowl until creamy, either dip the entire banana in the pb or cut up into 2in…
  • I am anxious to try Baked Blueberry Pancakes. They sound so yummy!! It's 2c. pancake mix 1.5 c. fat free milk 1 egg 1 Tbsp canola oil 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 c. frozen blueberries (butter and maple syrup, of course but I might not need the syrup!) Combine everything until blended, fold in the blueberries last...spread in…
  • OMG!! I spit food out laughing at this!! LMAO!!!
  • Oh you gotta friend me!! lol...ROCK CHALK!!!
  • Kansan myself, also!! North Central Kansas, stay at home mom to 3 kids, photographer to pay the bills. Welcome!! Only been on here since Jan 25th and I LOVE it!!! It makes you SO aware of what you put in your mouth, what you plan to put in your mouth and what you want to put in your mouth...lol. It's a great site! Feel…
  • I think you look fantastic. Some people will never be satisfied to just be happy for you. They will always find fault and cast judgement on others. Some people are jealous that you are actually succeeding where they themselves and most have failed and will ultimately put you down for it. They'll either remark that you're…
  • I have given up deep fat fried foods, pop, potato chips, snack foods like twinkies and cupcakes. I find myself not even craving them any more...it's awesome!
  • There's this cream called Nympho Niagra...lol...you rub it on your 'doorbell' and it helps the mood/arousal. Google it. If I remember correctly "Slumber Party" sells it.

  • Thanks! I thought it was funny...page 5, huh...wow. All those jokes....gone. I feel robbed!! LOL
  • Ah, man!! See that just gets mine granny panties all twisted!! I didn't get a chance to read ANY of them!!! If I started another thread like that, would my account get deleted??? idk.
  • I know, right?!! hahahaha that's funny
  • I didn't see any of those...lol...I always seem to miss the drama posts!!
  • The joke I started the thread with was simply this: I bought a digital, talking scale. When I stepped on to weigh myself it said, "One person at a time, please". At least I got a good workout with the baseball bat after that.... That's funny. I thought it was funny. Wanted to share a giggle. Didn't see in harm in that, but…
  • That was my post, actually...entitled "fat jokes - post them here" ....I didn't post it to piss anybody off, but whatever.
  • I kinda look at my "post workout snack" as an energy filler rather than a calorie filler...for me it's a mind game. I've been struggling myself eating all of my calories even without my workout cals added back in. I'm not eating junk during my meals by any means and what I have been eating is conciderable low calorie…
  • I have alot of Pink, Flo Rida, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Muse, Christina... they all kick my butt....lol
