  • Ha! Fwiw Minnie, I've only ever managed about 30 of that one...I just keep thinking of all the other things I could be doing.... Did fire 45 and stretch 10 - that's week 4 done and dusted!
  • I used to (get me- I've only changed this routine in the last 10 days!). But as has been said, I found it mentally draining. Not so much the berating myself when I'd 'gained', but from analysing every single fluctuation- oh that's water weight, that'll be sodium, that's cos I worked out hard & my body's repairing muscles,…
  • Your progress has been amazing - well done!
  • Nearly busted another week of Turbo Fire!!! Woohoo! How are we all doing? What's planned for the weekend? Did my last HIIT for the 1st month today and then some resistance band work, man, my biceps are SORE!!! That must mean good, right?!! Also...1st time since starting TF....I lost a lb! Stayed off the scales all week…
  • Fire 55 EZ today :-) loving that one! Oh...ChaLean extreme arrived today, looks kinda scary...glad I've got a bit to go yet before I start it! BP back down to its normal self today - 110/70 now THATS more like it! I didn't exercise until I got back from the Dr's, so I wonder if it could have been the work out I did before…
  • Lidls and Aldi quite often have special offers on HRMs. I got mine for about £15, has a chest strap, and it asked for personal info when I set it up. Works fine, the battery on the chest strap needs replacing a bit too often for my liking, so I'm now careful to remove it after use.

  • Great job people, yeah, I find writing on here motivates me to start my work out! Did HIIIT 20 today along with Core 20. Felt fab, so switched to JM No More Trouble Zones, first time I used 3kg weights, boy I can fee it now! Just a question on the HIITs (and the mini ones that are in the Fire workouts. Chalene says that…
  • This is a total hijack on my part and I'm sorry! But I would be interested in knowing the answer to this....I read your blog and using the equation in there I calculated I needed to subtract 75 kcals from my exercise calories per hour burned.
  • Thanks for your input
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Huskeryogi/view/my-personal-thoughts-on-logging-cleaning-calories-154113 Found it!! It was the equation and its implications I was interested in rather than the debate about logging cleaning calories.
  • I've just trawled through 30+ pages of blogs on here and I can't find it!
  • Started week 4 today- BOOM!! Think my HRM needs new batteries again, it was doing crazy things, like one minute it's beeping at me because my heart rate is way up in the 170s and then after the HIIT it dropped down to 66- from 168 - if I had that good recovery, I would be a first class athlete! It's only about a month…
  • This is great, thank you. I'm a serial scale-stepper, but am trying to go down to once a week because I am sick of over-analysing every single increase I see on the damn things! I know my clothes are fitting better. I know I am losing inches and my body feels firmer. It's stupid that I don't believe it unless the number on…
  • Ah, Monday, Monday! Just ordered ChaLean extreme so feeling excited about that- am doing Turbo Fire and loving it! Seem to have a week of being poked, prodded and injected lined up- that was bad planning on my part :grumble: Hope everyone has a great week and enjoys the last hot day- our car therm read 31 yest, I've never…
  • I'm just about to start week 4 of Turbo Fire and so far have lost a few inches but have gained about 2lb, so have done what GIGI76 suggests and ditched the scale! That's been a massive step for me as I am a serial scale-stepper, but I was beginning to feel demoralised, until I thought well, my clothes are fitting good, my…
  • I'm starting week 4 of Turbo Fire and totally loving it!
  • Just checking in before nitey nites! Great to see this thread, Saturday's are my rest day, so...yes...I have gone over. Still, turbo fire tomoro should sort that out and then it's back to enjoying the gorgeous October heatwave!!!
  • Nearly at the end of week 3, just got my Sunday workout to do  Not lost any weight yet, still waiting on that one, however, am feeling trim and firm, so somethings going right! Off to cut a pumpkin in half just now, it's a decent size but has rotted on one side, I'm hoping I can salvage some of it for some pumpkin…
  • I love it! I'm on my 3rd week and it's great, I'm still in the HIIT month, so on the days I do HIITs, I can usually do an extra workout. I think I need to look at the nutrition plan though, although I eat fairly well, I think it wouldn't hurt to get some new pointers.
  • The last time I did any serious running was when I was about 13.... I think I was wearig children's shoes then!
  • I think if fatigue is a symptom of your Crohn's then just take each day as it comes, don't beat yourself up on days you're too tired to do anything. Even when I'm not in flare up, I still have days when I'm exhausted, it seems to me to be when I'm in need of my next b12 jab! I'm lucky at the moment in that I'm able to…
  • Does anyone else feel totally buzzed after a HIIT? I thought I would be dead after doing my 1st 25 min one, but went on to do core 20 and stretch 40 (I only did 30 min of that, I'm not used to yoga, so I get a little bored! Getting there with it though!). I've been chopping quinces all afternoon and I plan to vacuum and…
  • There's a team UK revival thread on motivation / support. I just commented upon it, so it should be fairly near the top of the list!
  • Morning all! Got through my turbo fire yesterday, got a 25 min HIIT to do today...a bit nervous about it to be honest! great to see some of my Brit friends on here! Go Team Brit!!
  • Ooh defo count me in - I saw a couple of my MFP friends already have (waves at rivah and Charlie!) I'm in the west midlands, I've got about 1/2 a stone to go, but that last 7lbs is proving stubborn! Since January I have been exercising consistently, doing 30DS, other JM DVDs, Wii fit, Zumba...I'm into week 3 of TurboFire -…
  • Just started week 3- can't believe I'm on that already, it's flying by! Did fire 45 EZ - the EZ bits a joke, right?! I'm finding this thread so motivating, it's great to read where other people are at on the programme, keep going folks!
  • Combined fire 45 & core 20 today, only had enough time to do a short stretch afterwards, hope I don't pay for it tomorrow! Starting wk 3 tomorrow, can't wait, I mean, I look at my schedule for the week and I want to start it now!!! Keep it up everyone!
  • Did HIIT 15 and Sculpt 30. Was going to add on Tone 20 and Stretch 40, but thought that the Sculpt one was very similar to the toning one - and I'd already done a 4mile walk, so am actually feeling pretty tired now ( in a good way!). Can't believe I'm almost at the end of week 2...seems to go so quickly. Am still loving it…
  • We have an allotment as well as growing veg in our back garden. Whilst it does cut down on the grocery bill, I'm sure we spend that on food for the vegetables! As well as other costs that seem to incur. I don't think you can beat home grown veg for taste, we're just harvesting our sweetcorn at the moment and it's sooooooo…
  • Just did Fire 55 EZ today, totally loved it!! Rest day tomorrow, then I was thinking of doing the 2nd HIIT for this week followed by Core 20 / stretch 40 on friday...will mean a mega long workout, but means I can have Saturday to myself and my husband! Just a question to throw out there, (I've already had lots of excellent…
