Thanks for the tips! I am starting off at home, using resistance bands of different grades. I've used them before, and I do find the higher grades quite hard work! Then I'm going to venture into the gym - it s a Uni gym, so I'm not sure when (if) there'll be much down time, so I'm hoping I can find someone helpful in…

Bumping so I can check later.

Hi, So I'm thinking I'm going to start this. I've read most of the book, but need to revisit it before starting, I've also done CLX and I started YAYOG (but idk...didn't really take to it)....I loved how I felt when I did CLX, but don't want to repeat it, I feel like I might be brave enough to venture into the gym. Any…

It's up to you! I weigh each day, first thing in the morning. That works for me. I think as long as it's the same time of day each time, then you will get a comparable reading to when you last weighed.
-
You look amazing and have worked so hard! Well done, and I, like others on here, am proud to have you as my Mfp friend!
-
You could try it and keep a food diary. Perhaps if you moved towards it step by step that might help you identify how your body was responding to it? Yeah, I have to have a B12 jab every 2-3 months and take folic tablets each day.

I have CD, and I think that everyone's dietary experience is unique to them. Probably more so than with UC, as CD can affect any part of the digestive system, so I can be affected by different foods at different times. My experience is that I avoid nuts, although ground nuts are fine. I avoid mushrooms, peppers with skins…

Thanks for the cooking tip on quinoa, it's on my shopping list this week!

I'm always looking for friends who lose weight by eating more!
-
You've made really good progress so far and it is hard when big life things come up - they can just push everything else out of the way, especially if one of those things is something you did for you (like exercise, eating good!). We can definitely help you on here with support - I sometimes struggle with the concept of…

Yeah, I used to have a couple of friends like that...lthey didn't last long on my status feed! I've got about 4lb to lose to my first goal, realistically my next goal will be about losing another 7lb in total. I currently eat about 1850kcals using TDEE regardless of exercise. My choice of exercise is running and I've…

I think Runkeeper or one of the Nike ones can be used for walking or running,
-
Thanks for all your comments, plenty to think about there. It doesn't seem to have affected me this week, although I realise that it's only one week!
-
I would like an invite please....back on after nearly a year off!
-
Well, I messed up the first workout - I had been browsing the future programs on the app and forgot to go back to the beginner one, so my introduction into YAYOG was not the basic program! Eek. Never mind, I ploughed on through....did the proper first one today, was a killer!
-
I start it when I start working out, I stop it when I've stopped working out. Anything more is waaaaaay too complicated for me!

I think B12 injections only help weight loss if your diet is deficient in B12. I have B12 injections every 2-3 months because I can't absorb it properly, but I've never noticed a significant weightloss through being on it. Edit: I know when I am due an injection because my energy levels sap away quite dramatically. I also…

Welcome back! I took a break and came back at the start of the month, loving how I feel already. I'm trying to fit strength into my running training, unlike you I'm not training for anything specific atm although there's a 1/2 marathon I've got my eye on in just over 12 months.... I've recently started YAYOG - I find it's…
-
Have you emailed polar? I had a really daft query the other month and they replied by the end of the working day. Might help, they didn't just reply with 'oh send it in and we'll look at it (and charge you!)'.
-
Thanks. I guess I'll keep an eye on how my fat is being spread around, as it were. As long as most of it comes from natural pb, ground almonds I shan't panic!
-
Pb is whole earth, so is natural. Interesting about the cottage cheese. Is it the same for Greek yoghurt? Yeah, chorizo is my vice!
-
25% fat is my setting.

If you have a smartphone there are loads of fitness apps you can download...I just started you are your own gym, (it's also a book, so if you have a good library....) and essentially you do the workouts at home with only household things like furniture to assist. Only done one day so far, but was only £2 and was a good 35…
-
So you would do a workout 1 followed by workout 2? That's a good idea.
-
Hi, I'm starting YAYOG today, I've got the app! I'm also thinking that I might only be able to do it twice a week - I like to run and keep my 'formal' exercise to four days a week (one day off, two days gardening / walking / enjoying life in general!). But from what I've read, I might be able to combine some running days…

Bumping for later! Thx!
-
Not read the rest of the comments, but thought I would choose this one to say 'there are no non-smokers like ex-smokers'. Just because he's 'been there' doesn't unfortunately follow that his cup of empathy will be overflowing!
-
Aww thx guys! That's why I love this site! Yeah I'm completely whacked now, but really smiley happy with it! Gonna build it up over the summer and am seriously thinking about the 13.1...and I never thought I would be saying that!
-
So what have I done since restarting EM2WL?? Downloaded Heybale's spreadsheet and completed the quick set up. I was pleased to discover my BMR and TDEE not that far off what it was calculated from other methods I'd used. Adjusted my MFP info accordingly. Reintroduced my diet to proper peanut butter, Greek yoghurt and…

Ooh, thanks for that tip - I just downloaded it! (and I'm glad I don't start with one-armed push ups, with or without my feet being elevated on a chair - that sounds a recipe for disaster for me!).
