  • For 2012 I've started the following regime: Mon, wed and fri: bridge to 10k and ChaLean extreme Tues: a HIIT, turbo fire work out, jillian michaels DVD or a run Sun: walk or another cardio DVD. I rest on Saturdays and Thursday I'm in college, so that's a rest day too!
  • Pointless addictive games: diamond dash, bejewelled. Productivity: pages for word processing, numbers- have just devised workout schedules for running and training, I'm such a geek! If in the uk, i think itv player is excellent. BBC i player could be good, but crashes too often.
  • I will too, I just don't get why it's sponsored by subway! Ffs!
  • Jan 01: rest Jan 02: 88 min (6 mile run, 25 min walk) Jan 03: 92 min (CLX burn 1, JM Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism)
  • Hal higdon also has a novice 2 that includes 10, 11 and a 12 mile run. If this helps.
  • Well I didn't get anymore runs in before Christmas, or even new year for that matter! But was back on it today, found a lovely route down by the river and cathedral and it's a beautiful day. Also, the timing and distance of this route was perfect, with the opportunity to extend it as per my programme, so, yay! Also, busted…

  • What about upper body work? You could sit and do shadow boxing, or even stand if your leg will take it....sorry you're injured though :indifferent:
  • Jan 01/12- nothing Jan 02/12- 63 min (B210K w3) And....we're off!
  • Good luck! I'm going running tomorrow, have been following the B210K programme, on week 3, so looking to enter a 10k in the spring, then, who knows? So my main resolution is to improve and commit to my running schedule.
  • I'm in- I need a good butt kicking to get me going! So far: jan 01: no exercise Am planning on starting tomorrow
  • As I don't intend on cutting these from my life forever, I think it would be detrimental to cut them out short term, as once I reintroduced them I would be certain to put the weight back on! But good luck for your plan!
  • Did w3 d1 today, what a lovely day to run!! Clocked 5.7 miles, I want to aim for 6 by the end of w3, but not sure I'll have time to get anymore runs in before Christmas! :indifferent: Keep up the great work everyone!

  • Sorry you're not good, I think you're right to rest up though. I've just done my first run in almost a week, I managed to pick up where I left off, so try it and see when you're rested! Great presents to help keep you motivated though!

  • One of my MFP friends is doing Hal higdon's half marathon training, I am interested in it also (heady goals!). Her name's rubysparkle on here, I'm sure if you message her she'll give you her opinion so far!
  • Ready to pick up where I left off last week and complete week 2 tomorrow (which will be weird as its. Monday!)

  • Hey¡!! Thinking about a CLX / TF hybrid in the new year,,
  • I use the bluefin one and like it, although didn't like having to buy the GPS feature, especially as I'd bought it for the bluefin ease into 5k app (now called, previously c25k). But apart from that, I really like the app
  • No, I will be too busy cooking and enjoying time with my family to log all my meals.
  • Are you in the UK? Check out the food hospital website, they did a feature on (non-judgemental) hangover cures, there was a drink involved that rebalanced your salt and sugar levels. They suggested the fry up idea, but grilling / griddling food instead. Hope you have a great time!
  • Well, today was a BIG FAIL! I had a slight twinge in my back when I set off, so told myself that if I couldn't walk it off, or it got worse, I would turn back. Throughout the warm up, it felt like running would help it some, so I pressed on and the 1st interval was fine, although I was careful to take it really steady. Got…

  • Haha- that's great, I'd been wondering how I'd handle the JM after TF! Will try it out in the new year I think! I did HIIT 25 yest and sculpt 30, good workouts, I have no time to do any TF today, if I want to go for my run (even though it's very cold!), finalise my essay, deliver my husbands dissertation to university, and…
  • Mines open. I have about 8lbs to go. Just started it moving after a plateau of...ooh...way too long!
  • Hey everyone! I should have started week 12 this week, but I got super busy last week, with starting B210K and the build up to Christmas, and my essay for college - sometimes it just all happens at once! I think I'm going to use this week to try and catch up with the workouts I missed from last week and take it from there.…
  • Wow! Great start to the week everybody! I did W2 D1 today, was hoping to hit the 5 mile mark but got a stitch at the end of my first 15 minute stretch, so had to walk an extra couple of minutes, also leading up to that point my pace was a lot slower! Still....I'm certain it will improve throughout the week. Lovely day…

  • As someone living with IBD and having to go through a colonoscopy every two years or so, I cannot imagine why anyone would want to go through what essentially seems to be colonoscopy prep voluntarily. If you are healthy in terms of your bowel movements and gastro pain, there is no need to put yourself through this. Your…
  • Got out eventually for W1 D3- I so nearly slacked off today, because I couldn't go first thing! So thanks Russell, for your status update, it made me get my *kitten* into gear! Great day again, bit showery at first, but that passed. Managed 4.57 miles, my best distance yet. Aches and pains: I feel it in the outside of my…

  • Good luck with your race!
  • My app for c25k and b210k have a function to state how many calories you burn. It works best when you've got the GPS function on, if you're doing it one treadmill, I'm not sure of its accuracy, but I've found it to be within 10 calories of my HRM (polar FT4) reading consistently. I think my app's by runhelper.
  • I did day 2 today, lovely crisp morning. I changed my route and ran through a nicer estate than the Skid Row I normally go through- less dog muck, broken glass, scrap metal etc! Ended up running further than yesterday and reached my half way point outside my favourite church in Worcestershire! Much more hilly route though,…

  • Whoop! Gat way to celebrate your birthday! I did fire 45 today, I think it is my favourite, I love the boom, I got your bf routine and the finale just seems to unleash energy in my I didn't realise I still had! I even enjoyed the 3 HIITs today! Also....drumroll....I started B210K today, ran 3.44 miles. I am BEYOND proud of…
