  • 9, 10 & 11 are my fave but I enjoy all the doctors and I got my kids hooked on who too!
  • I used to weigh myself everyday but now I just do it every two weeks although I may just do it monthly. This month (january 2014) is the start of my "lifestyle" changes and I am not on a diet, just making better food choices and not kicking myself if I have a pice of cake or cookie, I just have to remember it's not…
  • I'd be interested. I live in nampa and am not very familiar with that area as much but would love to walk with someone at least once a week. And meridian sounds like a nice area to walk in.
  • Congratulations!! Simply Amazing!! You look stunning!!
  • I had a mirana in for almost 5 years - it was perfect for me with the exception of not losing the baby weight and then gaining another 30lbs on top of that - but looking back it made my extremely heavy periods non-existent for about 2 years and then slight spotting for the rest of the time. When I had it put in it hurt but…
  • If you really knew me you know I want to post here but am too afraid to do it for fear my family would know my fears and insecurities.
  • I gained weight and couldn't seem to lose any weight while on birthcontrol - once I got off I was able to lose weight again...but then again I am really sensitive to the hormones put into birthcontrol - now I don't have to worry about it any more since I had a tubal after my last pregnancy.
  • I know what you mean! Once I started to become more healthy in my cooking & eating I had to ask where to find some of the items in the recipes I wanted to try - don't feel stupid or dumb for asking - its when you don't ask where to find and item that seems silly to me, I mean, they get paid to help customers find products…
  • cardio is great but if you want to loose weight consistently you want to add some strength training to your routine...
  • You should be around 1400-1600 calories a day to be able to maintain/lose weight if you go any lower your body goes into starvation mode and starts hoarding fat and then when you start to eat normally you will gain all the weight you lost and then some. Don't starve yourself, lose weight in a healthy way making lifestyle…
  • I will have to try these sometime...my kids would love these!
  • I am nursing and don't work out in my nursing bras BUT work out in my bras that I wore BEFORE I had my baby...they are tighter and keep the girls in place (for the most part)...I too had big girls before nursing & because I went up 1-2 cup sizes my regular bras hold things in place...hope this helps.
  • I have always been told that you shouldn't go by the scale as muscle weighs more then fat and if the scale goes up a bit or stays the same it's ok - especially if your seeing inches lost.... Keep up the good work!
  • I make this quite often and it makes 12 cupcakes and it doesn't require butter or eggs! Magic Cupcakes - 157 calories per cupcake 1-1/2 cups unbleached flour 3/4 cup sugar or other sweetener 1/2 tsp. Salt 1 tsp. Baking soda 3-4 tablespoons cocoa powder (I used 4) 1 tsp. vanilla 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or applesauce. I used…
  • If you don't eat enough your body will think your starving it and will hoard the fat you do put into your body - be sure to eat a bit more (1200-1600 calories) and drink a bit more water and or other clear liquids...I found that as long as I eat breakfast within that first hour it helps kick start the metabolism. I know it…
  • Congratulations!!!
  • They are going to be in the produce department in your smaller stores (Albertsons, Safeway & sometimes Walmart) and in some of the bigger stores it may be in a refrigerated case all to itself (like Fred Meyer). I just saw this on The Nate Show today...going to check out the book that was recommended too...
  • Teriyaki Chicken ingredients: 1 Tbsp cornstarch 1 Tbsp water 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp pepper 12 chicken thighs with skin removed Directions: Whisk together all ingredients (except chicken of course), and cook in a saucepan over medium…

  • YAY!! Thats my goal is to get into a favorite pair of jeans from before I had my kids. Congratulation!!
  • I have been adding recipes that I find on blogs (yes, i'm one of those people...LOL). I try to incorporate them into my monthy meal plans - this way we have many homemade meals from scratch and the rest of the time its the "easy" foods. I have found a few recipes that I take different components and use them for meals that…
  • Walking is a great place to start. Walmart has weights for really inexpensive (at least they were a few years ago) and there are you tube videos for various exercises that are simple and easy to do that are free, you can find just about anything online...lol workout video for chair exercises --->>>…
  • Hi Katie! I hope your journey is going well...I am in the same area as you and I lots to loose.
  • I'm breastfeeding too...I knew we burned calories while BF but didn't know how many...now I can add that to my calories burned section... My doc said I just needed to keep my calories up around the 2,000 range and more if I am exercising (which I am going to be doing more of this next week). I'm glad I'm not the only BF…
  • If you deny yourself, you will crave it. Keep your intake of chocolate to 1-2 servings per day (break them up into smaller pieces so you can have it through out the day) don't binge on chocolate. This is what I have to do and I have found recipes that allow me to get my fixes without brining on the calories.
  • Diets don't work because once you stop you will end up gaining most if not all of your weight back and more then likely add a few more pounds on. Making lifestyle changes will work in the long run and this is what I am trying to do because I want to be able to maintain the weightloss and be a good example to my kids. Over…
  • BTW my ticker reflects my weight loss journey that started in March of 2010 (during that time I was pregnant with my now 3 month old little girl). I didn't gain any weight while pregnant with her but lost (which was a first for me since I gained 30 with each baby I had - lost those pounds with all but the one before this…
  • I am mostly drinking water with the exception of some 2% milk here and there and once in a while I will have a nice tall OJ (usually when I am feeling a sugar low) but mostly drink water - I have mostly craved that over anything since my last baby was born in October. Oh and I adore drinking teas but have limited it to 2…
  • I have a sports bottle that holds 8 cups of water & I am averaging 5-8 refills per day. If I need water I drink it - its mostly what I drink - except for a few cups of milk here & there. My doc says its healthy as long as I am not drinking them all at once and spreading it over the day. Its better then drinking lots of…
