You've got lots of great suggestions already! My only addition is that I tend to assume my single portion is likely to be 1.5 - 2 times the regular allotment for a portion - that's how I got so heavy!! I like your perservenrence and wish you the best of luck!!

187 lbs. Even my husband (who is my MFP partner) has no idea it was that bad ... 12 lbs down and intend to never return!!!

The biggest reason "fat" is a problem is that it's a dense form of calories. I suggest that you pay attention the balance of your source of calories among fat, protein and carbs. All are important but I think calories are king in terms of weight loss...

I agree that food is the key. A trainer told me that someone with a perfect diet can get away without much exercise but no amount of exercise can make up for a poor diet. Also, if you are looking and feeling great don't stress the scale!

Lots of legume based meals will give you protein, fibre, tons of other nutrients and they fill you up! I make a "no-potato" salad using lightly steamed cauliflower (about 5 cups) with a full can of rinsed chick peas. The sauce is low-fat mayo (maybe 3/4 cup) with 1/4 cup of grainy dijon mustard. It gives tons of nutrients…

Do you mean vegetarian or vegetable based? Can be two different things!!

WOW!! You must feel as fantastic as you look. Congratulations on the hard work and success. I'll bet your kids are proud too. You're an inspiration to a 39 year old working mum of two who's feeling REALLY tired lately. Thanks for sharing!!
