  • I work in health research and I'm well aware that sugar is as dangerous as salt, but isn't nearly as talked about. Reducing the amount of sugar in our diets is not a 'fad', its a reality if we want to be healthy well into old age. I think it would be interesting to see how hard it would be, its a 10 day experiment that I'm…
  • Single and loving it
  • Thanks for the feedback, but I think I'd probably find it a little boring taste-wise without the fruit, what would you use to make it taste nice?
  • Thanks for the replies everyone, its good to see there are others who are a little obsessed too. :-) I think the main reason for the manic post today was that if the first weigh in was correct, I've officially pushed through a two week plateau and hit the 60s, for the first time since I was 11 years old! That's a big deal…
  • So after some testing, this will be my go to lunch time salad, at least of this week: 70g turkey breast 2/3 Boiled baby potatoes Half an egg 50g of couscous Lots of spinach Half a red onion Handful of baby tomatoes 1/4 yellow pepper Handful of chopped up carrot Handful of pomegranetw seeds A little spring onion A tsp…

  • Kickboxing for an hour twice a week, plus 2 runs. Keeping my cal intake around 1200 per day, with the odd slip up.
  • Ditto to Mia_ RagazzaTo, I have to eat what I crave and I love crisps, so my solution is to buy the multipacks of walkers baked or sunbites for snacking at home after dinner (thats when my cravings hit) or I get a pack of sweet and salty popcorn with my lunch. The bags only have 100/120 calories each and I don't end up…
  • First lesson learnt- I really don't like the 'peppery' salad leaves mixed with the spinach leaves. Otherwise, it was a success, worked it out to be about 400 calories and its super colourful and tasty. Thanks for the tips!
  • Thanks everyone, gonna pop to the supermarket and pick up a rainbow and start combining. I think I'll add some pomegranate and maybe a spoon or two of couscous to make it filling and give the taste a punch.
  • Yum. Eggs have been my go to food since I've started counting calories, so filling and quick!
  • Bacon cheesburgers, do you have a healthy recipe for those, sounds delish!
