Thanks, all - it felt really good to get that out. And I really don't think they're hating on me.... but on themselves.

Yay! I'm almost done, but may have to go back a few because I've been running on a treadmill. The other day I just couldn't face 40 minutes on the 'mill, so I threw a shirt on and went out the front door. Much different! And I still need to apologize to whoever saw me in those rather too-short shorts... :)

Yay! I'm doing c25k on a treadmill... Ran for 25 minutes straight last night. Still feel too awkward to run outside, tho. Congratulations!
-
Yay! Of course you're losing... you're doing so well with exercise and logging.
-
Congratulations... You look wonderful! And I bet you feel a million times better.

SO on topic for me. Def feelin the crazy.

I made the same decision on September 26, 2010. A lot of people gain, I lost 60 lbs. Best thing I've ever done! Next was smoking, then losing weight. When I switched to an electronic cig I immediately wanted to MOVE. Keep up the good work, stick with the winners and don't ever, EVER give up!

Not proud of waiting until I was STARVING at 9pm last night to have dinner at a diner. Was gonna dive into the biggest burger and fries I could find... And decided on a crabcake with no bun, and pickled beets instead of the fries. Proud of my choices, and it was DELICIOUS.

"I see them as a cotton-poly tribute to my awesomeness!" That's the awesomest thing I heard all day!! :)

Just started yoga a few weeks ago... I have horrible neck pain from looking down at my desk all day and I think the stretching has helped my range of motion. I've also always had a small step stool under m desk to put my feet on, and often sit cross-legged in my chair.

Pork roll and cheese on a hard roll, with home fries. The perfect Jersey Diner food.

Hahaha I started a pop tart fire once... At work. And the toaster was under the top cabinets and the flames were licking at the wood. Looking back, sorry we put that one out :)

I started it also, and decided to do 30 day shred instead. Now I think I'll alternate. I enjoy the running much more, but feel like I really need the upper arm work to help with the "jiggles". The hardest part is starting... So you've overcome the highest hurdle!

14 miles? That's not small! Keep it up.

That's incredible! A lot of times, all I think about on this journey is the next smaller jeans size... you reminded me this morning what's really important: better health and feeling good. There's a lot of type II diabetes in my family that I'm trying hard to escape.

My reason this time (and I'm oooooold) is to feel awesome. And it's working! You. Can. Do it.

Thanks everyone! And yes... Cake totally rules. My daughter's awesome bf got me tickets for Christmas - they don't tour much, so it was my first show. It was killing me not to be able to wear it! And then... I spent all day explaining to my co-workers that it's a band.

Yup... 50 was the impetus for this journey, I think. I see that you are from Portugal. My sister-in-law is Portuguese, and with food that good I don't think I could lose weight there!

Chloe jeans I bought at goodwill. They retail for like $600 and I paid $3. Ridiculously tiny European size, but not so much that I couldn't ever do it....
-
Absolutely!

What I'm eating right now... hummus with cucumber slices.

That's awesome. I saw my mom this past weekend and she didn't say anything until we talked on the phone later. But I managed to carry her two 20 year old air conditioners up from the basement and put them in the windows with minimal strain... So I am proud of me!

A combination of circumstances and the depression that resulted kept me thinking that I didn't deserve to look or feel good. Several years of "12 step therapy" helped change that. Quit smoking (well, switched to e-cig), started eating mostly clean... felt so good I felt like exercising. Now I feel so good I don't want to…

I track EVERYTHING. Half a cookie. Two carrot sticks. Everything. That's helped me so far. Also, I exercise at night, and knitting keeps my hands busy.
-
Good luck... I did day one last night and it KICKED MY *kitten*!
-
What a wonderful post. So happy for you!
-
Yay!

I switched to an electronic cigarette two months ago. After a month, I felt so good I cleaned off the treadmill and signed up on here. I've lost weight since then. I feel like it won't be nearly as hard to quit entirely from the e-cig as from the real thing.

Hi and welcome. I'm new here too - been lurking for about a month. And 2 1/2 years sober!

Yay!
