  • I've only seen Key Lime Oreos once or twice and they disappeared of the shelves before I ever got to try them. They're my white whale that I'm obsessively trying to track down. Blueberry Oreos are only available at Target, is what I just read. I'm anxious to try those as well.
  • Berries berries berries. I have an extreme weakness for sweets but I've found that any of blue, straw or rasp berries satisfy that craving and for negligible calories. Add a dollop of whipped cream or preferably Greek yogurt if you like. Works for me.
  • Why choose?

  • Personally, I view what defines a service size of Oreos as a loop. At first, I'm with the OP, 1 row = 1 serving size. Then when I finish that, 2 rows = 1 serving size. After that's consumed, then 3 rows = 1 serving size. Hopefully there wasn't a buy 1 get 1 free sale or I'd have to do this all over again.
  • Nope, The fact is, they NEED each other, and they need each other to do well. For example, Civil War (the movie) came about as a response to BvS. Feige decided they needed a big event rather than just a Cap 3 that would simply be a standard Cap vs a traditional adversary (say Baron Blood) type movie.
  • I'm sure they kept the title to appease those that have outrage at "outrage culture".
  • Can we be a fan of both? I know I am.
  • Whoa, I was just checking my old threads and was surprised to see this necroed after almost 2 years, so I'll give it a 1 month necro. To follow up on my original post, I've made the switch. I just much prefer CC over Quest. It seems to simulate a candy bar better, rather than the flavored goo that Quest tends to taste…
  • I live on the other side of the river and hopefully you can pop over to Harvard Square. If you really want to mix in a nice calorie burn, you can walk from Boston, which would give you an excuse to cross over the Mass Ave bridge which offers some great views of the city. I'm a big fan of Flour bakery if you're looking for…
  • I made big goals that were a sequence of smaller goals, as any good project should be broken down into.
  • The best Quest bar is not a Quest bar, but MusclePharm's Combat Crunch. The cinnamon flavor is legit.
  • Quest has some competitors worth mentioning: MusclePharm Combat Crunch Oh Yeah Victory Bars ANSI cheesecake bars B-Up All of these, like Quest, have approximately the same numbers of ~ 200 calories, 20g protein, 15-20g fiber. I find most all of them to be "ok", except for the Combat Crunch cinnamon one which is actually…
  • Congrats! Even more admirable than your results is your perspective. Keep at it and enjoy the interim milestones like this.
  • ScienceBabe's takedown was fantastic. Seeing FB's response of " I’m full of heart, love and hope for a better future, and I know you are too" assured that I'm fully on Team Science Babe.
  • I brought up the Pearls Before Swine stuff on page 1 of this thread. This looks to be a "must have" for C&H fans: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/comic-riffs/wp/2015/03/09/bill-watterson-talks-this-is-why-you-must-read-the-new-exploring-calvin-and-hobbes-book
  • I don't really know what the new Talenti flavors are so I'm not sure if they have them. I did get a few that I hadn't tried before but not sure if they're new (Butter Pecan and Pistachio). The $10 discount is applied automatically. I'm off to get my next batch of 5 now!
  • First time posting in this sub-forum. I'm a freak for ice cream and had a big shopping day today. For anyone that lives near a Stop and Shop grocer, Talenti is $3.99 per and then, there's $10 off $20 of select items, which include Talenti. So I got 5 pints for $10, which is pretty good where I live. I might go back and get…
  • Since I'm snowed in today, I think it's important I pay special attention to these 2 very simple points: 1) Do some walking (done, 4000 steps first thing before snow got too deep) 2) Strictly adhere to what I've pre-logged for food today. That's all.
  • I've never watched it, but I have friends that for years were ardent devotees. When I told them I was about to start watching via Netflix, I was told the final season was so bad, that it ruined all the good will built up to then. Their advice was to not even bother starting or at least, not watch the last season.
  • Watterson was a secret guest cartoonist for Pearls Before Swine a few months ago. Check out http://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine/2014/06/04 then navigate to the next 2 days as well.
  • The last 20 pounds makes a bigger difference than the first 20, certainly mathematically. Just to keep it simple, if someone 400 pounds loses 20, they've lost 5% of their weight. If they lose 20 pounds from 200, that's 10%. I acknowledge it's a bit more complex than this example. Let me use another numerical example. Let's…
  • My #1 point for advocating a Fitbit is that I find it takes care of the routine activities so I just log exercise, or "intentional workouts" as you're calling it. If I have a sedentary day, the device will deduct calories and if I happen to do more walking than normal (say, shopping) then it adds appropriately for that.
  • I dig this concept. After being pretty darn successful losing weight for about a year and a half, the last 3 months have seen a reversal that needs to stop. I do subscribe to the "take it day by day" mindset so I'll play along. Today I will: 1) Walk on the treadmill long enough to watch 2 different hour long shows (this…
  • Nothing because 100 calories is trivial and it's a certainty that, regardless of how meticulous one maintains their diary, there's an error greater than 100 calories already (could be plus or minus).
  • Thanks, that's what I was thinking. As for it not being 90 calories/tbs, that's what the current bottle I'm using shows on nutritional info.
  • Just adding another "this is happening to me" post. As said above, this isn't the first time, the good news is it's usually resolved fairly quickly.

  • Just in time for Festivus, this is my airing of the grievances. 1. "I had an X calorie every day and still didn't lose (maybe even gained) a pound this week." This one drives me bonkers. Week to week (let alone day by day) measurements are not going to adhere to a strict formula. If you've truly had a 500 calorie deficit…
  • Congrats, that's fantastic. 500 calories over on a binge day is a win. Over the time I've been losing weight, I've come to the conclusion that binge management is THE key to long-term success for me. The one main remaining lesson I need to learn is how to walk away, like you did.
