Me : 4 Binge : 1 I'm gutted, I was doing so well! Then yesterday I was feeling so run down, I just couldn't fight the urge to comfort eat  I was really hoping for a clear run of at least a week and I couldn't even manage that

What are your maintenance secrets?

Yes

Woohoo! Me : 3 Binge : 0 I too managed trigger food in moderation  Here's to day 4!

I'm doing well thanks! I'm on day 3 of no deprivation but no binges either. Getting back into gentle exercise (walking mainly) but not quite ready to train hard yet as I'm still recovering from being ill and not want to wipe myself out completely. Should be back to proper exercise by the weekend. So glad so many people are…

 A good tip is to remember that some "healthy" options are not low in calories. Some salads covered in croutons & dressings can clock up more calories than a "normal" choice like spaghetti bolognese. Be aware of this!

Well, my first day of April went well! Exercised a bit (not back to full health yet but it's a start) and stayed within my calorie goal. Here's to day 2!

Remember that you don't have to clear your plate! If the portion looks too big, eat what you need from it and leave e rest. Place your napkin over it when you're done to stop yourself picking at the left overs before its cleared.

I'll start.... Plan before you go. Most places will have their menu online, some of which will also contain nutritional information, so take a look before you go. Just don't forget to politely take a menu and glance over it when you get there, (the rest of your dining party can just think that you're a really quick…

-
I hope so xxx

I've eaten loads! I've enjoyed the day with my family, so I'm going to try not to beat myself up (like i normally do) and just start afresh tomorrow.

I LOVE; TRACY ANDERSON - I used the metamorphosis series to shift my baby weight. The cardio burns loads of calories without choreography to learn (her other cardio DVDs require you to learn the steps before you can get up a sweat). The toning work is amazing. ZUMBA - a fun way to get your heart rate up, a feel good…

Thanks everyone. So far I've had it set to sedentary & added exercise in on top. I am quite busy as i have two young children. Now I'm in maintenance I don't want to cheat myself out of calories I'm allowed, but I don't want to gain weight either.

The New York City Ballet workouts are good, check them out

I've found that switching what I'm eating can help. I can eat so much milk chocolate and I cannot seem to stop myself, however I find it much easier to stop if I reach for 70% dark instead. Mouthwash helps too, I've put one by every sink in the house.

I read somewhere that breastfeeding burns 3 calories per minute if feeding. I created a custom food of -2 calories per minute (to be on the safe side) and add in the amount of minutes I feed per day.
-
I'm ashamed to admit that each binge is probably 2000/3000 calories & consists mostly of chocolate :-(
-
Anyone? I'd be grateful for some feedback.
-
So, am I better off with; A) a lower activity level then adding in exercises Or B) a higher activity level then adding in exercises I plan to eat up to my net calorie allowance.
-
Anyone?

Some great tips, thanks everyone!

Faddy diets don't work. No one could live on cabbage soup alone forever. Make lifestyle changes that you can maintain instead, that way you won't pile the weight back on when you reach your goal weight.
-
No problem, glad I could help! And thanks! Although, I must admit that some of my 81lbs was baby. I've lost it all using MFP, fitbit & recently digifit, and now I'm in maintenance at my goal weight and plan to keep using all 3 as a lifestyle thing in order to keep the weight off. Good luck with your digifit workouts!

I've got a polar H7. I use the digifit app with it which syncs really well with MFP, give it a try!
