  • No official offer yet but they were clear it's mine if I want it after shadowing tomorrow. The plan is to shadow, then talk with HR. One minor problem is with school, I have to shadow someone in a leadership position for 40hrs to graduate, which may be tricky if I am working 5 days a week instead of 3 nights.
  • It's technically a transfer within the hospital system, so no salary games. If switch some stuff, pay is about the same, minus the night shift differential, but I'd go to 120hrs of vacation vs 72 and paid holidays
  • Pav it's actually because I was pissed at my charge nurse and rage applied to like 8 jobs. I was offered my first interview within 10hrs of applying, the second within 16hrs and the third Monday morning (applied 11pmish Wednesday night). If the shadowing goes well Thursday, I'm going to cancel my Friday interview. Then…
  • Made myself a nice toasted sandwich on keto bread, with deli chicken, Swiss cheese, mustard, tomato and lettuce. Tasty.
  • I had another job interview today, one more aligned with my knowledge base and what I like. It went great, very professional, met with the office manager and the head nurse. I am going to go shadow one of their nurses for a couple hours Thursday morning after work. I am thinking that if the money works out, I am going to…
  • I bought interview clothes. High waisted, wide legged linen pants, a linen blazer and a high neck tank top. All Old Navy size medium.
  • I had a job interview. Which means I had to scramble yesterday after work for interview clothes, lol. Old Navy ftw. I got offered the job, but won't be taking it. Two more interviews last week of similar ilk (office nursing jobs vs hospital).
  • So ham can be pretty lean, but Canadian Bacon is reliably lean
  • Tonight I had my Amylu burger in a keto bun again, but I used tzatziki instead of bbq sauce/mustard/added cheese. Twas quite good. I give the inside surfaces of the bun a quick toast before using, just a quick spritz of butter flavored non-stick spray (don't judge me, lol) and a sprinkle of garlic, then face down into a…
  • Yeah I got em at Costco. Caramelized onion and white cheddar
  • I am sure the Canadian (back) bacon was not from Canada, lol. But it was a leaner choice than ham or bacon and I don't like breakfast sausage.
  • Amylu chicken burger with onions and lite cheddar cheese on a hero keto bun (surprisingly soft and tasty) with BBQ sauce and mustard. That's my dinner for today and at least the next 2 days (work, preplanned)
  • Went to brunch with my daughter. Had an egg white omelet with pepper jack, sauteed onions and Canadian bacon. So good.
  • Tonight I had the other sirloin from the pack, plus Brussels sprouts
  • Dinner tonight: 168g southwest ranchero sirloin steak, medium-rare, half of a small baked potato with just a smidge of butter, light sour cream and bacon pieces, and sauteed mushrooms.
  • I bought a form fitting tank top!
  • Today's food: Coffee with 2% fairlife milk and SF syrup Tuna melt (low carb bread, toasted. Tuna with light mayo, onion, garlic salt and pepper. Slice of lite white cheddar cheese) Large ice coffee with 2% milk and SF syrup 6 pineapple teriyaki chicken meatballs with egg white noodles and frozen stir fry veg. Nonfat Greek…
  • Last night we had chicken tacos/bowls. I brined thin cut/pounded chicken breast in with pepper/garlic/onion plus of course the salt to make it briney. Then in patter dry, seasoned with taco seasoning lend and grilled. Juicy! Served with guacamole I made with lime juice, red pepper flakes, garlic and kosher salt, 2% Greek…
  • Natural fluctuations, water weight from high humidity and/or higher than usual carb consumption?
  • Oh, I submitted an absolute disaster of a draft paper, lol
  • Oh, I'm lounging in the sun like a lizard at the pool. I am also procrastinating about writing my part of a group paper draft that's due tomorrow at midnight Les sighs
  • I love mushrooms. Often I will eat them sauteed as a side. I also add them to soups, eggs, etc
  • Started my weekend in what should have been a pleasant manner. Dropped a car at the oil change place about a mile from the house at 8am with my husband. We moseyed over to the coffee shop, grabbed drinks, and headed for a pleasant walk home. We made it most of the way before I caught my the toe of my sandal on the raised…
  • Tonight I had a Trader Joe's Cheddar chicken sausage on a hero hot dog bun (high fiber and protein) with diced onion, mustard and sugar free BBQ sauce. Side of green salad and cucumbers with lemon vinaigrette. For desert I had half a pint of raspberries and then strawberries in Greek yogurt
  • Tomorrow, as a Canadian living in the current hellscape that is the USA, I plan to wear my cartoon Robin Hood themed "Death to Tyrants" t-shirt
  • I will. It's not that I couldn't sleep, I just chose not to. It's been so hot, but I'd absolutely been putting off doing the garage, and by the time I was done with it, the pool was great, and by the time I was done with the pool, I knew I could easily fix my sleep schedule for the weekend by just staying up (pushing 36…
  • Peppercorn Pork Tenderloin and micro-baked yellow potatoes with a little butter, sour cream/Greek yogurt and chives
  • Got off work at 8:00. Cleaned my garage from 8:45-12:45. Went up by the pool from 1:00-3:30. Took a nice long shower. Now I'm almost done getting a pedicure. I've been awake for 32.5hrs, lol. Next, grocery store to divine something for supper.
  • Greek yogurt with raspberries and some vanilla protein powder, a smidgen of fudge my daughters brought home from the beach, half a leftover baked potato with just a little butter and sour cream, and a decaf latte with SF cinnamon brown-sugar syrup. Dinner of champions.
  • Sorry, I've been crazy busy. I carried a full academic load {14 credits) plus full time work all spring, and now I have 8 credits during the summer mini-meter, plus my youngest was home visiting the past couple weeks :)
