Always good to find a few MFP friends and encourage each other on the news feed. We all in this struggle together!

At the end of the day do what you prefer - my two cents - weekly. You should not obssess over scales. Take pictures weekly too, pictures say a lot more than scales.

Lose your weight in the kitchen and do enough cardio that isn't killing/exhausting you or making you bored and fed up. Change it up in the gym/exercise routine, if you jump on a treadmill and hammer it you will get bored, stop and eat pizza (imo)

I normally have chicken and srircha before bed or muscle mousse. Doesn't really matter when you eat just stay within your calories
-
Good luck on your journey! I want to lose 40lbs as well but have never managed the feat, keep us updated!

This dude right here is the only post you need to listen to in this thread, it might as well be locked now.

I had my first cheat after 20 days solid healthy / calorie counting and man I was soooo sick!! Takeaway is a luxury regardless, count your calories and you can have what you want when you want.

One day is one day, it isn't anything to worry about. Stick to your calories, find a nice balance. Treat yourself to one meal a week of your choice, enjoy your life.
-
You need to check your calories but 4 cups of green tea daily and chilies will help progress.
-
No. Eat it all day everyday! Count your calorie intake and you are grand, sounds delicious to me. I have 250g basmati rice daily if I can. Rather an addiction to rice than pizza/choc/junk food...
-
Whichever is more affordable and whichever one you like! count your calories and you can eat what you like!

My catchphrase at the minute in my strong northern ireland accent "who'ssss your daddddyyyyy" hahaha

No ads, which is nice. I did it so i could manually change my macro-nutrients. Paid for a year, so was quite cheap! Tbh, I can't remember what the differences are now, but it is sure nice to have no ads! Also I don't miss the money I paid for it because it was 6 months ago, which is nice :)

Accurately count your calories and my advice to everyone is don't eat your workout calories. You'll find a number that works for you eventually, stick with it. Then after that stop's working so well you will need to think about macronutrients

Feel free to add me, have any questions or just want some motivational comments on your profile updates I will be here every step of the way, we are all in this together!

I just had 150g chicken, 2 slice smoke bacon, 1 sweet potato jacket, half cup cottage cheese, 1/2 avocado and 17g of Harissa sauce 808kcal - it was delicious and filled me right up!! (my diary is open for ideas) If I could upload a pic I would because this post hasn't done it justice!!! (photo is on phone, I am on PC)

Great post, really interesting as well. If you work out your calorie intake to loose weight you will loose weight on both of these "diets" or "day menus" but obviously feeding your body with nutrients make you healthy :)

Calorie counting is a sure fire thing once you find your balance of "optimal calories" but exercise is also important, if you can't find the balance, just stick with calorie counting.

I haven't read everyone's replies as I stopped at you posting this. You are beautiful, don't put yourself down! Here's the deal.. Count everything that goes into your mouth, everything.. weigh all your foods, be 100% truthful, even log a stick of gum, everything that literally goes in your mouth. Set your calories..…

It's not I was just putting an example in. I didn't want to list a full bodybuilding diet aint no one got time for that bro!
-
If you are counting calories, macro counting like myself you can feel free to enjoy diet soda... however the chemicals cant be doing any good for your insides!!! It has 0-11 calories most "diet" and "zero" drinks.. just log it, you will loose weight.
-
Fasted training. Totally normal bro, Do what works for you. I don't eat my first meal until 7pm sometimes..

Carbs are amazing, love them. Fit them into your macro's and eat the healthier type! Carbs is better to cut out of your diet gradually if you want that shredded look, but you cant get that last look if you deprive your body instantly, where as if you cut it out whilst cutting, it will take you over the finishing line…
