I did a half for my first race. I followed the schedule and did ok (slow maybe 11 min mi) but I was hurting at the end, my knees killed. I ran a few more halfs after that and was in much better shape and felt great. So it's up to you, you could definitely do it but it may be tough on your body. Also, it's a lot of time to…

Well, first, make sure you're getting enough protein, fat, and fiber so you feel full. Second, I floss, brush, and use mouthwash when I know I should be done eating for the evening. Then I'm done because I'm too lazy to do it all again.

When I commuted my bike (just a few miles) I would wear my hair in a braid and wear slacks and use one of those reflective bands to keep them from getting in the gears.

I never log on vacation and don't worry about food. Usually when I get back I'm down a couple pounds. I find that I snack less and move more so some big meal splurges aren't a big deal. Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestions. Got these at Kmart today for 3 pairs for $4. I'll get something better if these don't hold up. I may have to double them up, not sure if they'll be thick enough.

Well in that case, what does your doctor recommend?

I use protein shakes to supplement my protein intake even on rest days. If you like them and it fits in your goals, then go for it.

My vision is good enough not to wear them indoors (but I can't see across the room well, just enough). For outdoor workouts, I wear presciption Oakleys. Love them!

Anything is fine but no yoga inversions as pp said. I don't stay away from high impact: running, HIIT, etc...

mmmm Chipotle. I get the veggie salad with no rice or corn salsa - everything else! No dressing.

Congrats! You did great. Love the leggings in your after photo!

Don't worry about it. I went on 2 rounds of anitbiotics recently and didn't experience any weight gain. Rest and let your body heal itself. As long as you're accurately logging, you shouldn't have a problem.

Look yummy! Thanks for the recipe, tried to make a zucchini frittata yesterday but it didn't work, have to try this recipe.

Lol, I thought that's how I'd be. I don't mind bruises but I was bleeding in like 3 places. I'm a bleeder, lol. Not cool.

Thanks, guys. Those Rogue skins look cool but pricey :#

Vitamix, love that thing.

Run with stroller, bodyweight exercises at parks, joining a YMCA w childcare, trading workout time with a friend, xbox workouts at home. Lots of options, these are all things I've done to stay fit w little ones.

I've always had some "padding" in that area, even when running half marathons and eating at high deficits. I'm just now noticing it start to flatten after I've started lifting heavy. It really does work!

I'm the minority here. But I've been doing yoga on and off for about 17 years and I don't really care for blocks. I'll use them occasionally if the teached wants us too but never at home. I had one once and never used it. It's not a big investment if you decide to get one though.

Hi there, I did the 1st stage of New Rules of Lifting for Women at home with dumbbells. It worked fine. For the lat pull, I used a resistance band that you can hang over the door. If you don't know how to adjust a barbell lift for dumbells, just google it ;) I mostly did goblet squats or just held them to my side.

1. How long have you maintained your goal weight? About 12 years minus time having 2 kids (+50-60 lbs each) 2. How did you do it? Made fitness and balanced diet part of my life. 3. Do you check your weight often? Or measure? How often? Yes, I check my weight every morning. I'm a little OCD about it but don't stress when it…

You have a recipe?

Seriously, that's super cool. I had no idea you could get pics like that from a home telescope.

Ooh, that sounds good. I make these: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Zucchini-Brownies/

@husseycd, amazing transformation! Great work! May I ask how tall you are?

I'm in week 3 of SL and often feel like the weight is too light but I recently posted some videos and realized that my form still needs a lot of work. I'm glad there are these light weeks to really nail down my form before the weight gets heavy.

I recently got this from Costco. I think it tastes nasty in a shaker but it's fine if blended:

@rainbowbow, thank you! My squat and bench felt a lot better today thanks to the advice & videos above. My rows still don't feel "right" though so I'm going to look up more videos on those. I'm doing something wrong!
-
@walterc7, thank you so much! Incredibly helpful videos & tips.

Thank you, ladies! I hope I can remember all of this at the gym tomorrow!
