My 13 year old son just walked by as I was looking at your photo and said, " Whoa, she's pretty."

I use Spotify with Zombies Run. You just have to be sure to start Spotify, and then start Zombies.

Totally agree. I just had a conversation with my best friend who is very thin. I told her the whole time I work out, I'm thinking about what I get to eat when I'm done working out. She laughed and said she doesn't even think about dinner until about 5 p.m. when she has to make it for her family.

I eat at my normal deficit for meals but I always do have a couple of cookies (OK, maybe 4).

The thing that works best for me is to plan my day so I'm busy at times when I'll be tempted to snack. For me it's late afternoon so that's when I'll run errands or work out. Get out of the kitchen if at all possible.

I'd definitely go Vietnamese. Bun (rice vermicelli) with grilled shrimp is about 450 calories in the mfp database and it's delicious. Tons of veggies too. It's easy to avoid fried food with Vietnamese.

I totally get this. I never go to sleep that early but definitely do go up to my room, take a bath, watch TV, read, anything to stay away from the kitchen at night. Good luck!

Kristen Stewart.

Good for you! Hal Higdon plan was great for me. Be sure to wear the same outfit for your distance runs and then wear that to the half. That way you know you won't have something chafe or rub.

I was just about to say that!

I always get chicken larb.

I would continue to walk with her, but you mentioned she told you to go ahead at one point--I might say, "Are you sure you don't mind?" and then take her up on it. I have a friend who walks slowly--I still walk with her, but I run on the treadmill when I get home, although I understand your workday is long and you may not…

Sounds entirely worth it!

I do allow myself a cheat day here and there. It gives me something to look forward to. One thing I've noticed is I don't go as crazy as I used to; I hate how gross it feels to be too full now.

YES!!!

That takes the cake!

When you find yourself having a hard day, allow a day of maintenance. You're not gaining but you are allowing yourself a few more calories and a little leeway if you are hungry.

Oh man, you quoted Matthew Alice, the best column in the world. He (actually a she) writes it in a funny style but the facts are always true.

I'm the same as you. 3 p.m. kills me. You have to find something to fill that time and stay away from food. Walk, schedule errands then, anything to get out of the house and stay busy.
-
Haha!

If it doesn't need to be about food/health, then I highly recommend Serial.

Get out of the house, if at all possible.

I never mention it outside my house, and if someone comments that I've lost weight, I just smile and say yes, I have, thanks. If they ask how much, or how I did it I will tell them, but very basic information, like "I just started eating less and running." I think most of the people on these forums who complain that…

Did you go crazy because you had the pizza and then said "Oh well, I blew it anyway..." Try to not let one bad meal/food derail your day. I read a quote here on MFP that sticks with me: something like "When you get a flat tire, don't slash the other three."

There's a Safeway/Vons store brand line called Eating Right that I love. Their chicken basil cream sauce linguine is 260 calories of frozen heaven.
-
yum. trying this later today. Thank you!

I do agree with this and see it all the time when my kids leave one bite of something on their plate. I would never dream of leaving one bite.

Years ago I read an interview with a movie star that said she pours water over her fries after she's had a small portion and that really stuck with me. I'll try to eat a bite or two of a treat and then run water over it in the sink. You definitely can't go back for more once you've ruined it that way.
-
Same as you, late afternoon. If I can get out of the house and run an errand or get on the treadmill for a bit, it helps.

Target sells a brand called Noosa that I believe is full fat.
